I bought 2 series MSport and it's most refined desiel engine BMW offered. The driveability is excellent. In Indian road encounters this compact sedan maneuverability is really effective rather 3 series larger car shapes sometimes difficult to manage. Those who are really enjoying driving pleasure this is one of the best in the segment with BMW legacy
41.4 ex showroom is very steep, at this price, I can almost get myself a Jaguar XE or Audi A4 35 variant! The US cost of this 2 series is around $34,000 which translates to approx.25lacs, a maximum of 40lacs on-road for the M-sport variant would have made sense, otherwise its a total fail in a price sensitive market like India. Over that, the overall styling does not help justify its price either.
Completely agree. This has been the case with all products. US cost literal coversion is still affordable. But as soon as it reaches India, with the taxes and duties it doesn't make sense. Iphone is another example.
There was a time when BMW use to cost on road 30 lakh I don’t know when I will start earning how much it will cost could ne X1 and 2 series could cost in crore after few years
Wasn't this expected to be priced from about ₹35 lakhs or so? At ₹40-41 lakhs, it would not find the buyers! The Audi A3 was brilliantly priced at around ₹23 lakhs, when it was launched back in 2014.
I bought 2 Series MSport Gran Coupe BMW about a couple of months. It's the most compact and the Sport feeling is the best in class. Most refined diesel engines having excellent maneuvering on the road surface. In Indian road surface, this is the ideal sedan for a small family car rather than 3 series the larger size something difficult to manage in narrow road encounters. It's giving stunning pickup and no felling of front wheels driven car. BMW technology has superbly managed the drivability. The only point I could find the doors shutting sound somewhat not adequately adjusted. Second point is that in Indian road conditions 18" low profile tire is not recommended due to uneven road surfaces and potholes. So I'll recommend to go for Sport variant rather M Sport because in Sport verient they offer normal tire which is more effective on Indian road surfaces. One more point the rear door side ingress is quite narrow which may difficult for tall passengers.
Great review, Sergius! You called it like it is. This is a very desirable car though and is arguably the most exciting sedan on the market right now. BUT the price!! Not convinced that it's worth that much money.
Awesome car...loved the design I felt the steering wheel is too simple, it would be amazing if BMW would have given the sportier flat-bottom steering wheel for the M sport version.
Made in india still its costly..loved the front but not the rear.. Loved the dashboard but would have felt more sportier if it had a all black theme interior
40 lacks ex showroom ? This has such bad value. If you're looking for badge, you wouldn't be looking for the cheapest car of the brand. If you're looking for luxury and being driven, buy a skoda superb or kia carnival limousine. It should've been priced below 35 lacks. Even A3 entered with 29 lacks price point
Too expensive. BMW and Merc don't realise that other brands are offering equal or better cars at a reasonable price. These cannot keep milking its goodwill for long now.
I really had a wish that you guys should compare this M sport version of the car with The Octavia Vrs..the comparison will be So hot..and Heart throbbing ❤️❤️
Not worth the money. They don't have android auto in a country full of android phones. No heads up display. In UK they have all this @26 lakhs ...here 42 lakhs! Think BMW. Think!
i hate the trend of fully digital speedometer and rev meter. Guarenteed to feel and look outdated in just 2-3 years. Something like digital displays will get better extremely fast. Plus, its hard to view. Honestly how many more screens do we really need in our lives. Phones in our hand, tv's in our rooms, laptops on our tables. We really dont need another screen in our cars. i hate it.
This will definitely not do good sales in india. It's far better than Mercedes CLA. People would go for X1 rather than 2 series. Some people who likes the exterior styling and looking for a sedan less cheaper than 3 series might go with the 2 series. It's better to buy X1 in India because both the 2 series GC and X1 are front wheel drive.
Lol... Do you own any bmw? In city conditions(which is where 70-80% owner use their cars) you wont even be able to tell the difference. Specially with the same 2 ltr 190 hp 400nm engine. P.S. Telling this from my personal ownership experience
I'll feel sorry for the people spending money on this fake FWD BMW. That rear end, it's like they slapped the x6 end on a 1 series. Very disproportionate.
A pointless complication into an overcrowded market segment. X1 is all the entry level BMW badge buyer will ever want. A true BMW sedan needs to be rear wheel drive. The 220d gran coupe won't satisfy the badge seeker for its limited use case ( space!?) and is no substitute for the rear wheel drive 320d in performance, handling, sound insulation etc.

The 330i sport is the same price (41 lakh ex showroom). BMW were on crack deciding the price on this car lamo.
Completely agree. This has been the case with all products. US cost literal coversion is still affordable. But as soon as it reaches India, with the taxes and duties it doesn't make sense. Iphone is another example.
Price is criminally high even if u consider many other aspects!
There was a time when BMW use to cost on road 30 lakh I don’t know when I will start earning how much it will cost could ne X1 and 2 series could cost in crore after few years
Vishal Kripalani yup we had the old X1 first gen but we sold it later
Reason is inflation☠
Wasn't this expected to be priced from about ₹35 lakhs or so?

What Xcent is to Verna in terms of design is what 2 Series is to 3 series and not in a good way.
3 series is much better option just becuz of rwd
@@nmohan3418 330i Sport is the same price as this M sport varient. Both are around ex showroom 41 lakh.
Get the petrol first BMW. Skoda Superb offers better cabin space, and off course the DSG gearbox is also fun to drive.
Waiting for the Merc A Class Limousine!
Same lmao👉👈🥺
2 series is better
@Jainam Tijoriwala good question 😂
Irony: the chauffer drivens won't b watching dis...🤣
Well the 2 series is a small car so it obviously wouldn’t really please the chauffeur driven
Ok it's basically an expensive Elantra

Expensive...maximum it should cost around 30-32 lacs on road
ANANT BANSAL even fortuner base varient costs 35lacks on road and top varient onroad around 44lacks
Front wheel drive spoils the fun.

It looks like a previous gen ford focus with bmw cladding and a squashed x4 rear
Why was the Number plate sticker placed near the headlights when there was a column dedicated for the number plate?
Wish to own it someday...
Working on it
Nice video 📹
Hopefully x1 will be more logical/sensible.
The blue color & the chrome grill look nice.
Made in india still its costly..loved the front but not the rear.. Loved the dashboard but would have felt more sportier if it had a all black theme interior
Last time it was this early, bmw was introducing x3 for the first time
very good review, you picked out all the points. expecting you in more reviews.
BMW has launched the long wheel base of 3 series, so I wish they launch in 2 series too, bcz rear leg room is not sufficient
sir the videos are nice but increase the video quality to 4k

Yea looks like everyone "lacks" something

whyyy rear boot gate dont open with glass ?? whyy like in octavia
When are you reviewing the Skoda Octavia 2020?
A3 and a class anyday
Blue colour looks sporty and stunning. All will now go for the 2 series💙💙💙
I really had a wish that you guys should compare this M sport version of the car with The Octavia Vrs..the comparison will be So hot..and Heart throbbing ❤️❤️
It would make a record breaking sale in India... 🥰
BMW designed a Hyundai 😂😂
#ThatFrontProfile
what place is that?
I feel I like the rear lights
How is this the same price as the base 3 series??
Loved itttttt going to buy it when it launches because I was confused to what to buy in the Bmw series..... 😀😀😀 Thank You Autocad
the front and rear has no connect in the design
rear looks good but the front is terrible 🤮🤮
Price @8:00
The colour is just fabulous anyone know just give the colour name 👍👍👍😍
I will get Skoda Superb instead of this.
Please review new cla and audi a4 facelift please please
Tbh I loved the rear end
Not worth the money. They don't have android auto in a country full of android phones. No heads up display. In UK they have all this @26 lakhs ...here 42 lakhs! Think BMW. Think!
Wow inside and out is super I gone to a BMW showroom
39.3 and 41.4 EX Showroom. Thank od i bouht the X1 at the right time couple of years back
You make the best videos ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I think Audi Q2 is a better option against it . Similar or more features and cheap price.
It only comes with a thirsty petrol with 320NM peak torque. Not a patch on the 400NM torque of 20d matched to the 8 speed ZF gearbox
Plz make a video on Kawasaki zx10r 2020
Plz take my request 🙏🙏
If I've to go then no doubt for sure MG GLOSTER makes perfect sense
Chinese

BMW prices skyrocketed in the past couple of years.
3 series will be much more better option in term of design, look, build quality , controls, and much more
Waiting for amg a35 limousine review
@7:12 was cool. FWD isn't cool though at 41 lakhs
Price
At that price its better to go for C220. Much better in terms of space and luxury.
Baby 8 series 😁
Not worth... Skoda superb is the best compare with this.
The price is where it destroys the fun 41 lakh for a 2 series? No thanks
Good sedan👍🏻
Waiting for the petrol review

Its good car for young family and a diesel nice.
VRS is where it's at
stupid pricing
I thought 190 horses would be around 25-30 lakhs(Still no level 1 Autonomus mode).Its moderately-expensive 😔😔😔
Whats the point of this car at this price?
Awesome thanks for video
Looks like a Toyota Corolla wearing an expensive BMW suit!!!
Courtesy of Toyota-BMW partnership.
They don't have android play, naaaa not happening
Truely luxurious at entry level.
Thats a hyundai with a bmw logo😴😴
Amazing car bro
2 series, a pure bmw experience
Am I the only one who liked the back of the car ?
The rear isn’t a bmw
My dream car brand are bmw
Don't buy a BMW if you want be chauffeured in it. They are meant for 'Sheer driving pleasure'. 99% of Indian buyers will never understand that.
New Honda City vibes
If it's not rwd or awd, it's not BMW. This one isn't.
Lol... Do you own any bmw?

How to get a job in autocar?
BMWs are always expensive and cramped in the rear seats. Just not worth the money if you are always driving in traffic.
First comment....
Super video
What would be the price of this car....???
if anyone like this car to be in price of ford endeavour....hit the like button....👍👍
Overpriced , 3 series starts at 41.4 Lac
39.3 and 41.4 EX SHOWROOM. Way too expensive
It says 52 lakhs OTR here in karnataka 😂
The sort of car one buys to tell "ha BMW chala ke aaya" lol this car is a joke. Also what a car the previous gen 2 series was, they just ruined it.
Better go for 3 series,
Super compact sedan! Ideal for BMW fans who don't give their cars to chauffeurs.
I don't know whether it is with this car or not but BMW is loosing its iconic style
Why not spend another lac and buy the 3 series instead?
It just needs a spoiler !
All good but Front wheel drive in BMW...😒
Low-key Looks like Ciaz
I think merc a class is much better
