What was forgotten : Without counting the # , we have 8 paragraphs in the description The year of release was 2019, and 1+9-2+0=8 The channel has 8 videos (pointed out by Pikachu Gaming) Bonus fact : As of right now, the channel is almost 8 years old
They should delete the trailers so that they could do 5 more collabs. So, there would be 8 collaborations, and 8 videos on the channel! I'm still kinda sad that it's ended. Believe it or not, this series has been a part of my childhood (I know it's sounds crazy, but trust me).

@@sticks_stuff there was a time in my life where i was hunting around the internet for any kind of information i could get on who made the parts. it's not a complete list by any stretch of the imagination, but this is what i managed to find based on the information i received
I really never thought I would be in an Octagon collab, I watched the first 2 a long time ago, it was always honestly kind of a dream I just thought I would never reach too, and yet, I'm in it, and I honestly find this collab the best collab this decade has even seen. The amount of effort for this was astonishing, and I really hope everyone enjoys this, everyone worked really hard on this and it was worth the wait!
When I read your comment I thought that it was an obvious lie and this was going to be another joke. But I was wrong, and you were absolutely right. Holy shit, what a masterpiece!.
For the first time I absolutely regret having left a collaboration. This video is an actual collection of great talents! Wonderful job guys, I'm amazed by this fantastic collaboration!
Absolutely incredible. It feels like the perfect sendoff to a meme that's basically immune to the effects of time. It almost makes me feel bad because of how long we've celebrated it. If it for whatever reason it does fade away, this is the perfect closure
2:58 the reason i keep returning ngl whole video tho should be in a museum with physical high quality uploads to ensure its survival- the sheer effort put in pours out of any screen this video is played on (and is ancestor) 12/10 would be an understatement ngl
Thank you everyone for your hard work, and for letting me be part of this once again! It's an absolute honor. And thank you all for waiting, for watching and enjoying this video, thank you so much!
This video is the reason I’m where I am at right now. If it wasn’t for this video, I would have never been inspired to start my own channel and get into video editing. When I first watched this, I was literally speechless. This showed me that “meme editing” could be used for more beautiful things like this. It goes to say how I struggle to figure out the weakest part of this collab is, since the whole thing fits so well together that it would be hard to imagine this video in any other way. And also how this video has probably inspired hundreds, if not, thousands of people to get into video editing and create art using video editing. Although there are other collabs that I would say may have better visuals or audio, this one has everything fit together in such a perfectly creative way that only videos such as the power of terry and iwf have gotten close to. In conclusion, this is one of the very few videos that I would without a doubt call a “perfect video” that will become a UA-cam classic in the years to come. Thank you for coming to my ted talk :)
now try watching this video with the Japanese subtitles on! because HOLY SHIT. however the placements are kinda all over the place. that's the only downside
The little bit where he morphed his voice to say Francis instead of Jack likely required several hours of work just for a 0.6 second bit that most people won't even notice... This video is a true labor of love.
As someone who’s worked with sentence mixing- it likely didn’t take hours. It may have taken a bit to find the clips to make it up, but not hours. Still impressive tho!
The Rock my Emotions part being like a reference to the old youtube days and how a lot of it's been lost either to copyright or otherwise made me a bit sad, especially with that editing
I just realized: Sesame street is mainly for pre-schoolers Pre-schoolers are around 3-4 years old The episode with this clip was made in 2008 Probably 5-10% of all pre-schoolers watched the specific episode with the octagon clip There's a decent probability that there's someone who watched this video that is 14-15 now that watched this very clip outside of it's youtube context and is stumbling apon this right now, possibly remembering it from their childhood. Probability is strange.
You ever think Jack Black has seen these? How must one even feel after seeing a bunch of people you've never met edit your voice in such an amazing way.
I never thought 8 Awesome Angles of UA-cam could be topped, but you all blew it out of the water. This is genuinly one of the greatest videos on this website, awesome job
Outside of the whole ytpmv aspect (which is incredibly impressive in and of itself), the structure of this video feels like it has the exact energy that the UA-cam Rewinds were going for, but this actually succeeded in achieving it.
Have y'all checked out the japanese subtitles? (which are actually dual English-Japanese subtitles that animate with karaoke-like highlighting animations)! Another hour of work per blink.
Oh my god, Rock my Octagon brought so many 2010 memories... That old YT, Vegas FX... It was great. BTW. Huge respect for Second Heaven after We Are Number One. Looks like it had a deeper message with it
This collaboration truly was an unique experience. Never before I've had this much interaction with the other members, usually it just goes "do your part > part's done > submit". I got to exhange and get help from lots of awesome people! That collab grew on my heart the more I worked on it, and for the first time I found myself using "we" to talk about the collaboration You all truly rock!
Jesus Bloody Christ. This has to be the dozenth time I've watched this wondrous creation all the damn way through. I cannot even imagine the amount of work that must have been put into every tiny little detail. People say that YTPMVs are art, but this is quite literally a perfect example of just how they *are*. You've likely put more care and effort into remixing the same 1.5-minute clip of a man talking to a red puppet about a shape, intended for children, into as many different songs as physically possible than most AAA companies will put into "real" movies. This is a testament to mankind's creativity. In a thousand years, I hope this will be Ozymandiaz' leg sticking up from the sand with a cry of "we were here", because this is a labor of love. This... is a fucking YTPMV.
Couldn’t of said it better myself. I genuinely like YTPMV better than modern music because it has *soul* in it. People really fucking love what they produce, which makes it so much better by default.
Then somebody download this and copy it onto every data medium we have access to. I'm talking USB SD MICRO-SD FLOPPY-DISK SSD PAPER DNA andall the stuff i forgot to mention
It is bittersweet to know this is the last one. But man was that collab sweet. What a way to finish the series off. I actually have tears in my eyes right now. These things mean so much to me. It was like watching all my favorite things from the past ten years of my life and seeing so many old friends who I have long since parted ways with. My sincerest thanks to you Octagon Collaboration Team.
The Fort Francis remix, as someone who grew up playing Super Paper Mario religiously, is the greatest thing I've seen in awhile. Every part in this is amazing, but seeing my childhood used for a meme collab about Jack Black and octagons makes me way too happy.
@@Pouzdraken Most people get sucked into Touhou through obscure ways that they wouldn't expect. Such is the way of a land full of fantasy and illusion.
I just realized that the main medley goes into *8* different keys; D Major/B Minor, A Major/Gb Minor, B Major/Ab Minor, Eb Major/C Minor, G Major/Eb Minor, Ab major/F Minor, Db Major/Bb Minor, and C Major/A Minor. That's if we exclude the credits roll, which is in Bb Major/G Minor, from the main medley.
For those wondering... Dmaj/Bmin - Viva Happy Amaj/Gbmin - WarioWare, Inc., Because Princess Inada Is Scolding Me, and Big Blue Bmaj/Abmin - Bonfire, Rock My Emotions, and the Kill Me Baby OP Ebmaj/Cmin - Heart of Fire, Because Princess Inada Is Scolding Me, and Fort Francis Gmaj/Ebmin - Because Princess Inada Is Scolding Me, and from Smooooch to Shuric Scan Abmaj/Fmin - Gourmet Race 2 and Overdrive Dbmaj/Bbmin - Hexagonist (Focus) and from Bonetrousle to Bloomin' Feeling Cmaj/Amin - Snow Goose If you're wondering why Because Princess Inada- is listed three times it's because it transposes twice (from Cm to Ebm to Gbmin). However it transposed a third time (when it goes into 3/4 time), but it goes back to Eb Minor.
So I've seen a handfull of people complaing the fact that this is the last collaboration and others acting like this is the end.Personally I feel like these people have no idea how much time it takes to make these types of videos, let alone making a single one. Also just because this is the final octagon collaboration (on this channel that is)doesn't mean we can't make other collabs, don't hesitate to organize one related to Jack Black just because this group won't be making any other videos.
Holy shit, I just realized: the big final rush where it medley's all the stuff together? It follows the original clips sequence of events with the samples each clip uses. Holy hell that's detail.
thezootbox I have watched this video probably hundreds of times in the last three months and I haven’t even realized that.. This video really does not have the attention it fully deserves
This. This is probably the best collab I have ever seen in terms of how I presume how much time went into it. The amount of 3d effects is astounding. Godspeed.
The amount of effort put into this entire thing is incredible. Among other things, the attention to detail is incredible. - The picture on the left at 4:50 (where Jack Black is looking at the web-thing) is an example, especially as it's visible for less than 25 frames. - The "F-Zero and Chill" text is on screen for less than a second. - The little scenes that are on screen for around 10-15 frames at 6:08 are also amazing. - The 3D scene from 1:59ish to 2:06 is also great - I'm sure a lot of work went into that! Incredible job to whoever did that. The little gags are immaculate. From any of the 8 fantastic sides or 8 awesome angles you look at it, this video is stunning.
That was genuinely awe inspiring, each part was perfected to a level I've never seen before in any ytpmv. Glorious audio, stunning visuals and the best put together and arranged medley I've heard to date. Thank you so much to everyone who worked on this.
4:26 is probably my favorite one. just how they set it up is super fun. Using a stop sign spell to blow open the tomb. Then some super sayin battle over the stop sign between jack black and elmo.

Godspeed.
Can't tell what impressed me the most, the fact that this is so well edited or the fact that the Japanese Captions are way more elaborated.
