That's basically what happened. Sukuna doesn't mind entertaining himself and making them indebted to him at the same time. But he absolutely can't stand anyone thinking they can get leverage over him. It's pure pride, distilled into the essence of a curse.

That girl is extemely smart!! Her technique allows her to manipulate photo she takes to a certain degree. To dodge attack simply take a photo of urself being attacked and then remove whatever is happening to u inside the image to heal.
We always forget that Jogo is insanely powerful because all we saw of him was against Gojo. And Gojo is... well, Gojo. Also fun to remember that the narrator specified Toji was always going to go after the strongest in the area. He threw Megumi out of the station. In a room with Nanami, Maki and Naobito, he threw MEGUMI out. That (and Sukuna's interest in him in season 1) speaks volumes to Megumi's potential and I can't wait to see you react to the next few episodes. It's going to be an absolutely wild ride. And yes, I am reliving my trauma ;'D
a few things that were not said in the anime is that 1: the playful cloud with is that curse tool is the only special grade tool without a curse technique, for example inverted spear of heaven would force deactivate any technique, instead it scales of based on the physical strength of the use so the stronger you are the stronger it becomes. And 2 Is that even though we didn't see it in the hidden inventory arc but playful cloud was tojis favorite weapon to use when he was in his prime

He's a wildcard to all sides of this war. Hes his own faction playing by his own rules. To that point, the girls were killed because they way the phrased their request. They said we'll tell you where to find more fingers if you do something for us. Wrong move. It implies they have power over him by being able to conditionally withhold something he wants. When he said they'd hear them out, what they should've said was "hey it'd be cool if you could kill this Geto guy downstairs, maybe, if its not too much trouble, and also here's the location of another finger because you're such a great guy and we would never presume that we could add conditions to this favor you have offered us so generously. You know what? Honestly, we take the whole thing back. We're asking too much of you. Okay, goodbye forever."
Sukuna was listening to them and might have even granted their request for their service ...but the minute they try to negotiate with him, he took that personally and killed them off.

Ive watched many reactions to this episode and no one ever noticed that after the narrator said that tojis fangs were constantly directed towards the strongest and he killed dagon he went for megumi next although there is the special grade zennin grandpa
Toji really busted into that curses domain, where he basically should have a guaranteed victory, and slapped him around like it was nothing. Though i believe because toji has a heavenly pact that gives him zero cursed energy - domain expansions guaranteed hits dont apply to him

I remember the first time I played Halo CE, in it occasionally there would be transitions screens in game where it would give you a written line on screen to match what was happening in the story. There was a level called "The Library", and it had one of my favorite transition screens of all time, and i still quote it to this day because it was that memorable, and it has never fit better than when applied to the Shibuya incident. "Wait, it gets worse!"

This is the first blu-ray episode where i can see definite improvment over the original broadcast. Glad the animators got given time to finish their projects, especially this one as I remember he in particular was pretty beaten up about what he could show first time around. Now all we need is for Mappa to never put them in that position instead and give them the time and resources for their ability to shine through.

My guy Nanami is the chad❤❤ and the way Toji obliterated the curse was insane 💀. I was on the edge of my seat while watching this! The pace at which they were beaten by Jogo was scary. I recommend watching next 2 ep together. Great one Flexie!
Incase you didnt know, Playful cloud (Toji's weapon) gets stronger when used by physically stronger users (higher the user raw strength, the stronger playful cloud geta), hence why Toji could destroy Octobitch so quickly, he was the GoAT
Jogo is, undoubtedly, the strongest of the 3 disaster spirits. It's just that the only on-screen fight he had previously was him getting ragdolled around by Gojo. Compared to any sorcerer that isn't special-grade, he's a monster beyond monsters.
Think Of Toji Like the Anime version or Jason Voorhies or Micheal Myers. His whole death and come back is straight out of a slasher film. He even made his own weapon fit to his needs. His speed looks like he teleports and he stalks.
Just goes to show the gulf that exists between 1st grades and Special grades - Nanami and the others only stood a chance as long as Dagon wasn't taking them seriously, and once he did their only realistic option was escape. The disaster curses getting clowned on by Gojo may have been funny in the moment, but - as Jogo's casual takedowns in this episode clearly display - it was never a fair or realistic means of measuring their strength in any way. While Nanami, Maki and Naobito's fates are currently uncertain, we can at least say that without the distraction of Sukunu's cursed energy nearby to draw Jogo away, they wouldn't have stood even the slightest chance of surviving.
Just to clarify for people in the comments, the girls were not going to get what they want even if they had asked Sukuna nicely for their wish or accidentally overstepped his authority (and yes, one of the girls' power is basically Budu with her teddy bear and the blonde is that with her phone in the photos she takes she can modify whatever she wants and thus affect the object of the photo in real life, that's why she survived Jogo's attack, that's why she took a photograph before) 😅 ‼️‼️Spoilers from here‼️‼️ if you want to avoid Spoilers you better stop reading. Sukuna already knew Kenjaku, and no, this has nothing to do with whether or not he had a boto with Kenjaku, in fact it does not affect anything if he has it, Sukuna was not going to kill him since it is useful to him, the girls were going to die with a high probability even if they asked him to do so in the most accommodating way possible, although there is also the possibility that he would use them to find his other finger and then kill them, since it would not be useful to them at all and in combat they do not stand out in anything like so that he would leave them as his allies, that is, whether or not he would fulfill their wish.
Episode Summary: Part 1) Toji vs Dagon was a very even 'fight'. I mean, in 50% of the fight, Toji destroyed Dagon, and in the remaining 50%, Dagon was destroyed by Toji.😂😂🤣 Part 2) I love Maki Zen'in (my favorite female character). But I confess that she witnessed, in situ, what it means to 'have skill' in handling a cursed weapon at the level (Toji Certificate of Quality)!!! Part 3) Sukuna/Apocalypse.
you have the capacity but you’re succumbing to the pressure lol. when you rewatch it will be clear. but on the note of sukuna, the request was perfectly fine, until nanako added the condition that IF sukuna does indeed kill fake geto, they can give him a treat by telling him where is the last finger. you can’t bargain with sukuna, you can only request politely, which they messed up once they made it a “deal”
Playful cloud was Toji's, got taken by Geto after Toji's death, got taken by Gojo after Geto's death, who gave it to Maki and got taken by Toji yet again
I know things happened fast but bring the tissues for the rest of the season, the torture will be much slower. So back from the beginning of the episode, Toji's heavenly pact basically loop holed the resurrection pact and basically will last as long as the body doesn't die. Toji, isn't fully autonomous though. He was brought back to kill ALL sorcerers. He's targeting the strongest one by one. Meaning he saw the Ten Shadows user who's domain was hold back Dagon stronger than the rest there which is why Toji singled out Megumi. Who was saying he risking his life not sacrificing it by making the hole for everyone else to get out basically saying he's relaying on them to break the barrier from the outside like Yuji did with Mahito and Nanami. HOWEVER, Toji the sick person as he is saw an opening in the barrier and wanted all the smoke. Now, as for Sukuna. He's the King of Curses and even turned on Mahito for touching his soul. He has no problems killing and even the first moment we see him in EP 1, he wants the kids and women first. The problem was they weren't pleading for their lives and Sukuna being 15 fingers deep in Yuji, no Diddy, can locate them himself. Remember that's why they wanted to feed them to Yuji slowly so he doesn't transform and he can act as a sonar to locate the others. This requires alot of remembering and filling in the gaps yourself because they don't treat their audience like idiots. Unfortunately, alot of people can get confused and would need to rewatch the series to connect certain dots. The girls didn't bargain for their life and they tried to negotiate with something that's already Sukuna's. Mind you, Gojo made Jogo look like a joke. Jogo made Nanmi, Maki, and Naobito look like trash. Toji killed Gojo before he became ascendant but even then he made it look like an easy match. Toji made Dagon look like trash who was able to make Maki, Nanami, Megumi and Naobito look weak. The POWER difference is that vast between special grades and special grade from rank 1 or lower. YOU are NOT prepared for what's to come. Bring chocolates, tissues and a drink because it's about to hit PEAK anime... "I'll leave the rest to you."

Incase you didnt know, Playful cloud (Toji's weapon) gets stronger when used by physically stronger users (higher the user raw strength, the stronger playful cloud geta), hence why Toji could destroy Octobitch so quickly, he was the GoAT
Jogo is, undoubtedly, the strongest of the 3 disaster spirits. It's just that the only on-screen fight he had previously was him getting ragdolled around by Gojo. Compared to any sorcerer that isn't special-grade, he's a monster beyond monsters.

Just goes to show the gulf that exists between 1st grades and Special grades - Nanami and the others only stood a chance as long as Dagon wasn't taking them seriously, and once he did their only realistic option was escape. The disaster curses getting clowned on by Gojo may have been funny in the moment, but - as Jogo's casual takedowns in this episode clearly display - it was never a fair or realistic means of measuring their strength in any way. While Nanami, Maki and Naobito's fates are currently uncertain, we can at least say that without the distraction of Sukunu's cursed energy nearby to draw Jogo away, they wouldn't have stood even the slightest chance of surviving.

Sukuna already knew Kenjaku, and no, this has nothing to do with whether or not he had a boto with Kenjaku, in fact it does not affect anything if he has it, Sukuna was not going to kill him since it is useful to him, the girls were going to die with a high probability even if they asked him to do so in the most accommodating way possible, although there is also the possibility that he would use them to find his other finger and then kill them, since it would not be useful to them at all and in combat they do not stand out in anything like so that he would leave them as his allies, that is, whether or not he would fulfill their wish.
Episode Summary:
Part 1) Toji vs Dagon was a very even 'fight'. I mean, in 50% of the fight, Toji destroyed Dagon, and in the remaining 50%, Dagon was destroyed by Toji.😂😂🤣

you have the capacity but you’re succumbing to the pressure lol. when you rewatch it will be clear. but on the note of sukuna, the request was perfectly fine, until nanako added the condition that IF sukuna does indeed kill fake geto, they can give him a treat by telling him where is the last finger. you can’t bargain with sukuna, you can only request politely, which they messed up once they made it a “deal”

You will be shocked to know that some of these s2 episodes were completed on the same day of release, the animators 😭😭
I know things happened fast but bring the tissues for the rest of the season, the torture will be much slower. So back from the beginning of the episode, Toji's heavenly pact basically loop holed the resurrection pact and basically will last as long as the body doesn't die. Toji, isn't fully autonomous though. He was brought back to kill ALL sorcerers. He's targeting the strongest one by one. Meaning he saw the Ten Shadows user who's domain was hold back Dagon stronger than the rest there which is why Toji singled out Megumi. Who was saying he risking his life not sacrificing it by making the hole for everyone else to get out basically saying he's relaying on them to break the barrier from the outside like Yuji did with Mahito and Nanami. HOWEVER, Toji the sick person as he is saw an opening in the barrier and wanted all the smoke. Now, as for Sukuna. He's the King of Curses and even turned on Mahito for touching his soul. He has no problems killing and even the first moment we see him in EP 1, he wants the kids and women first. The problem was they weren't pleading for their lives and Sukuna being 15 fingers deep in Yuji, no Diddy, can locate them himself. Remember that's why they wanted to feed them to Yuji slowly so he doesn't transform and he can act as a sonar to locate the others. This requires alot of remembering and filling in the gaps yourself because they don't treat their audience like idiots. Unfortunately, alot of people can get confused and would need to rewatch the series to connect certain dots. The girls didn't bargain for their life and they tried to negotiate with something that's already Sukuna's. Mind you, Gojo made Jogo look like a joke. Jogo made Nanmi, Maki, and Naobito look like trash. Toji killed Gojo before he became ascendant but even then he made it look like an easy match. Toji made Dagon look like trash who was able to make Maki, Nanami, Megumi and Naobito look weak. The POWER difference is that vast between special grades and special grade from rank 1 or lower. YOU are NOT prepared for what's to come. Bring chocolates, tissues and a drink because it's about to hit PEAK anime... "I'll leave the rest to you."
