I'm on a cane for stability because my joints are bad and I would have tripped right over those. It's a lawsuit waiting to happen because even able bodied people could trip over those
While disabled (from migraines and Trigeminal Neurlagia), my legs aren’t disabled and I’d most likely would find a way to trip while going off into book lala land…and face plant in that book store. Places like that are dangerous for those of us who are just plain nerds and klutzes. My Special Needs students often had to help me up…when I fell over whole just teaching them (for no other reason than being I’m a klutz who can’t walk straight). So no one feel bad (and yes, it’s a issue for everyone when aisles are awful like this. It’s also a good for way to lose everything if a sue happy person gets hurt). Hell, I once found a way to lose my footing at the Tower of London (ironically enough talking about where Elizabeth1st tripped and hurt her knee for life when being imprisoned by her sister Bloody Mary there…The Traitors Gate…and not paying attention to where I was going, and nearly found myself in the Thames River! No matter what your ability level, from 100% to a cane to a walker to a scooter to a chair...as a business just don't set yourself up for failure at the very least, and at most have an amazingly accessible space. It's not hard.
I am not sure if I would classify myself with a disability or not. My eyes work independently form each other and I am partially blind in my right eye from a stroke. It blows my mind that someone would do that to a guide dog let alone to a HUMAN BEING! People need to be educated on how that’s absolutely NOT ok. It breaks my heart to see the horrible things people say or disrespect they give you both even if it’s unintentional still not ok. All I see is the love you both have for each other and it shows you can be strong together to handle these situations. I’m so glad you have each other! ❤️
People who use support dogs can be just as bad, I remember I met a lady in a wheelchair with a dog. I made sure not to give it eye contact , didn’t get too close and didn’t speak to it . However I wanted to tell her what a beautiful dog it was, so I did. She jumped down my throat and accused me of distracting the dog, when I’d done more than most to make sure I didn’t, when I tried to explain that I was talking to her and not the dog, she became even ruder! I graduated from Ann Arbor High School and the University of Michigan. My two sons were born there. The downtown area you were in, back in "the old days", was a very typical Mid-Western American downtown. That's where we went to buy school clothes and Christmas presents, to go to the hardware store, the "5 and Dime", the pharmacy, the garden shop, hobby shop, toy store, or fabric shop, to eat at the cafe in the department store or order from the Sears catalog store. Me and there mother are best friends even though we dont live together and we cant always control every aspects in our lives but I believe to make the best of life and cherish every minute for its a blessing. I haven't laughed so hard and cried so soft in a long time. I will gladly donate and help support as much as i can when i get the chance because if there is one thing I have learned is that i want to make a difference in the world for the greater good in any way i possibly can. One question I would like to ask? What was your best trip traveling? where did you guys go? And what did you guys do? What was your favorite place you guys spent together?
It never ceases to amaze me how clueless and ignorant some people behave when they encounter something new or different. Honestly, Shane, you and Hannah were wonderful in how you handled it. You didn't make a scene by letting that woman know how rude she was, but you simply supported each other and behaved like civilized people. Truly, you guys make the world a wonderful place to be in.
You ARE a Stud-Muffin, Shane! Your sense of humour is fantastic and my wife thinks you’re the BOMB! I can’t believe be jealous, I just roll with it-I’m a C5 quad-and think the two of you are great. Your interaction with this "LOUD-TALKER" sounds like you have educated an ignorant person, through no fault of her own, she’s just not aware that people who use wheelchairs, (&/or are visibly disabled), are as normal as they are. It sounds like she may have been slightly abnormal. I’m sure it’s not the 1st time that the 2 of you have been approached by people who just don’t "get it". 🤗💕
Love the Book haul…………………………….
Yes! Do a book video! Include your top 5 all time favorite "ya gotta read this" books.
Our family is just Amazing keep loving each other with all your heart
Book haul, please! Love the book library ambition and goal. Good bookstores are the best.
I have a library on my home. Had so many books that I bought shelving and lined the walls of a room in my basement. I refer to them many times and I have more to read! Plus , they are all in Dewey Decimal order!
Shane gets worked up by being called a "stud muffin," film at 11! AND, when you're in the bookstore, always ask for books from the Monty Python "bookshop" sketch, such as "Ethel The Aardvark Goes Quantity Surveying."
Or "The Adventures of Captain Gladys Stoat-Pamphlet and Her Intrepid Spaniel Stig Amongst the Giant Pygmies of Beccles," Volume 8.
Omg....I was embarrassed for you! You guys are so hilarious...I love watching your videos!
I enjoy listening to Audiobooks because I can enjoy books and reach my fitness goals at the same time. I use a library App for my audiobooks. Would it be possible for Hannah and Shane to narrate your books ? I would really love that.
Shane’s books already have an Audible version?
@@analogkid4957 They're not narrated by them though. I haven't seen Strangers Assume My Girlfriend Is My Nurse on Audible yet, I should check again!
Thank you for mentioning the filming issue as you walked along that super cool wall! LOL what a cute city!
OMG! I’m literally screaming and laughing. “They’re a couple!” You stud muffin, you. Very cringy.
I stumbled on to your channel a few days ago. I have been watching ever since. Great content, great laughs and really enjoying it.
Omg I’m suffering from second hand embarrassment. What a crazy lady!
Hahaha!!
I've seen like 10 of your guys videos since i randomly came across seeing you two on UA-cam and would like to follow your blogs. I haven't seen genuine happiness and such a great couple in a while. i learn alot and enjoy learning new things and being entertained by the both of you. I have to admit i will have to take a couple days break to tend too my garden. You guys are inspiring and i wish there was more people like you out there. I wish you all the best. I am trying to get back on my feet being separated with two children who live with there mother on the other side of town, i try and teach my children that everybody has a story and the truth will bring you happiness without judgment you can do anything you set your mind too, that i will support you what ever you decide to do or be in life, I will always love you unconditionally.
Definitely interested in the book haul, I’m
Always interested in what others are reading. So many books so little time!
Would LOVE a book haul. Id love knowing your like top 5 FAVs. (Besides Shane’s books which are def up there on my list of favs)
It’s great to see the channel keeps growing. May you both enjoy the best of health, and continue your journey of happiness together. Cheers, and thanks for sharing your many amusing stories. ♥️♥️ Great stuff! "Aloha"-(?🤷🏻♂️?)-from Victoria, BC, Canada!🇨🇦
I just love you guys! You always makes me smile. Hugs to you both! D
Shane's hair style is fantastic! I'M YELLING THIS!!!!!
With some people there’s no filter, no education, no sensitivity towards other people’s feelings of being overwhelmed with their actions, and no volume control and you two found the one that embodies them all⁉️ 🍀 U 2❣️🙄 Oh well, it’s an interesting mix of people that’s the truth❣️🤣
I truly was not expecting the story to unfold that way. That girl was "special"; someone mentally stable just would not act that way.
I was expecting them to say someone yelled at them angrily! Never would've guessed this haha!
@@kimberlyearly8918 I was expecting that a little kid came up and squealed in recognition. lol Shane should mount a dash cam on his wheelchair.
@@hilaryc3203 I know, right?!😂
@Miles Doyle attention seeker. Ew.
I love you guys! Thank you for always being so real!😍❤ ➡️Yes, book haul please!

I never realized how beautiful Shane's eyes are!
That's the first thing I ever noticed about him. That and his cute knees.

He is handsome. Eyes and smile 😃
I think it's the tan. He's been looking extra sharp lately.
Well if you ever run into him in the street you can scream at him how handsome you think he is! Jk 🙃
You guys make me cry laugh so hard. 😂🤣😂🤣 I absolutely love you guys. I'll watch anything you share. Books are awesome. Now I gotta go change cause I peed myself....😂🤣😂🤣
Doggone! I live in Ann Arbor! Wish I could have met you both! I knew exactly where you were every place you stopped! Sweet Waters is at the top of a big hill at the edge of downtown! There is an Awesome ice cream parlor by the tracks on Liberty you would have loved! I am glad you enjoyed aMa. If you ever come back look me up!
A book haul is a great idea! I would love to watch it! :) Also book reviews of books you loved or hated.
I always overbuy in bookstores, and then just look at them on my shelf for months, feeling guilty I haven't read them..... but is that enough to make me stop doing it? Nevaaa! 😆📖
Omg I know. Again and again. Also commit same crime digitally. Kindle, Audible, Google Books. But I start a bunch of them. I'm basically in the middle of reading a gazillion books in a gabillion formats. Redonkulous. It be cool doe, it's how I roll. 😁😁😁
Shane looking very handsome in this video! With those good looks and that awesome personality hannah your a lucky girl and shane your a lucky guy too. Awesome couple

Can you guys do a book recommendations video?? I just finished where the crawdads sing after Shane recommend it and absolutely loved it!
They are making a movie from that book and several of my favorite actors are going to be in it. Garrett Dillahunt (Raising Hope, Fear the Walking Dead & Army of the Dead is playing Pa. I got to meet him a few times at Cons & he’s such a sweetheart!!
I loved that book. I could barely put it down.
That would be a great idea. Squirmy and Grubs book club. Shane mentioned he is developing a home library.
Haha, im not on it but I know booktube is a big UA-cam community so I assume they could catch some new viewers with that content as well!
One of my favorites!
To have a mega library is my dream, too!
Yes to a book haul!
You need the Shane cam back but rolling continuously lol.
You guys are SO GREAT dealing w people!!!
I'd love to hear what books you're reading!
I'm so sorry that happened to you guys..I live by ann arbor. I promise we all aren't this way. Love you guys!
I love Shane's haircut..that's why the lady was so overwhelmed by his beauty💕
well intelligent and with a sense of humor yes but beauty no way!!!She s far more beautiful
But, but,.....you ARE handsome!!! How funny. Gads, I hope I never have acted like that. But I'm sure you handled it with grace and a few laughs.
Yes book haul. I’m DYING to go to Literati!
I’m disappointed I wasn’t walking the town that day! I live in Ann Arbor and love you guys. I’m super disappointed that this happened in Ann Arbor. We pride ourselves on being an accepting and diverse community. Sounds like this girl straight up made a fool of herself. Next time your in town you gotta try Zingermans and the Detroit Filling Station!
Do a book haul please! Great video! Sorry about the strange experience,
Hi Shane Idk if you’ll see this but I was the girl who came up behind you!!! I realized about halfway through the interaction what was happening but like Hannah said I couldn’t get in front of you bc of the chairs! I was also too starstruck to think clearly lol
Wow! Close encounters of the overbearing kind !
Sure do a book haul! Whatever you do we love watching and listening to your humor!
