Really like these battle reps, very concise. Masking the edge of the table with obstacles/backdrop is a great choice. If you need any prep/post work let me know!
Sounds good! Just reply to this comment if you ever need contact info, used to run a videography company and I'm getting the itch to do some creative tabletop media/marketing.
Thanks.. 😊 Mostly afterwards. I think that’s the case with all the battles. Some of the other videos about terrain and stuff could be recorded during the filming.
if i may ask, where did you get the deployment cards for this and your grimdark future firefight games? loving the style man, been binging your vids all day :)
Yes, I have developed a rather quick card based AI system for a range of choices that works with both skirmish/firefight as well as the larger battles. I can draw cards for: activation order (same number of cards as AI units), deployment (6 possible deployment styles - for example spread out/focused/offensive etc.), random objective deployment (9 possible positions) and finally 6 decision cards that will determine a units actions with several options - aggressive, cautious etc. You can of course use dice rolls instead, but I find that printed cards with text and photos from game situations add to the overall experience.. It makes the games rather unpredictable and I lose as often as I win (if not more 😊).. I have previously done something similar with Space Hulk..
Thank you so much for these. Grimdark is on a lot of channels. Age of fantasy not many at all. Again thanks so much.
You’re welcome.. I enjoy both and like the variety.. Thanks for watching along..👍

Great batrep!! Just curious, do you record the audio during the game or do you add it later during post? It is very clear audio so just wondering.

Sure.. They are from the Open War card set from 40k.. Thanks very much😊
Like that there was lore for this battle. Definitely cool.
You mentioned the AI cards, any chance those would be available for download to print?
Thanks.. Yes, I'm working on it.. A Guide to Army AI and printable cards.. Maybe I'll make a video about it too..
Are you using any AI/Opponent Emulator rules for these games? I've been trying to adapt 5 Parsecs From Home to other systems.
