I don't know if the change has been made everywhere yet, but I noticed on Spotify it only has the new version now and the old one is gone. It's difficult to completely erase a version of a song especially with today's technology, and I am hoping she and her team double check from now on which version she is playing live. I understand the upset here though. I could be totally wrong, but since this song was part of a 2NE1 album I doubt she personally wrote the whole thing including the background music. Non-Muslims don't recognize the melody. I know I didn't until someone pointed it out. She likely wasn't even aware that it was put in her song, and possibly couldn't hear which version was being played during this performance. Sounds can get drowned out easily on stage like that. Obviously I don't personally know CL but from what I've seen of her in interviews she seems to be very different than her stage persona. She likely feels horrible that this happened and that she might not have been aware that she was showing such disrespect. Just something to keep in mind.... Again, I don't have anything to back this up, I am just thinking as a non-Muslim person who didn't notice the Quran in the song... Muslims, YOU HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO BE UPSET.
