I thought she would make it very far if she joins some top American musician. And i think she made it. This girl is killer. She is doing very well for herself. :D she made it. What's wrong with this generation that we watch performances through our cell phones and recording devices when an artist is right in front of you? We become so disconnected from the world because instead of enjoying the moment we record and miss out on the moments that you can only experience by being there. It's sad, I'm guilty too. I know this isn't really a crowd that was there for CL but please don't take for granted the simple joys from living in the moment.
At a performance I start recording and then watch and enjoy the performance while trying to keep my phone centered. Most of my recordings are way off center, but it's worth it.

Lily Evelina a wholeeeeee lot of problems. i'll just talk about her solo career, yg originally wanted to push her to debut in the us, which she very obviously will make it, but they kept delaying and delaying so the hype kind of died down already, and the debut wasn't really successful. so because if that yg just jept her in the dungeon, her last music was lifted in 2016. when she had to perform at the pyeongchang 2018 closing ceremony, yg did NOTHING for her, she had to get her own dancers own EVERYTHING with her OWN MONEY. yg's wasting her, so finally she's set free from yg.

Guys, the reason why the crowd was so silent is because this is the Style Icon Awards, not an end of the year music show like MAMA or Melon or GDA. The people in the audience are mostly here for the fashion; the audience was quiet for others too.
And I read someone wrote "Bye Bom, Minzy, Dara," that's really rude. 2NE1 already said they're not attending any end of the year award shows. CL was here by herself because she was actually nominated to win, so why not perform?

We become so disconnected from the world because instead of enjoying the moment we record and miss out on the moments that you can only experience by being there. It's sad, I'm guilty too. Keep in mind that this is not your typical kpop crowd and that this is not your typical kpop award show...actually, it's not even a kpop award show.
Of course this crowd is going to act quite differently.

People who are saying "CL won't succeed in the US" are exactly the main reason why she WILL succeed! You all say that it is hard for an Asian to break through the US market, but what you all don't see is that CL is different. Can't you see how she managed to sing with this Diplo mix that no one wouldn't even imagine to sing with? Diplo always makes great music but some of his mix are "party oriented" and so hard to incorporate actual singing with it. No artist on their right mind, would dare to take this challenge and sing something unique. BUT CL DID IT, ON YOUR FACE! If she has the ability to make a voice and skill to sing along with this mix, then believe me, tomorrow ya'll will be scratching your asses and say "This Asian queen rocking it"
