I just got a used Sony Carl Zeiss Sonnar 35mm 2.8 ZA for US$215, I like it a lot, very good image quality, small, compact and light, so it sits always on one of my Cameras as if it was a camera body cap, ready to shoot. I can highly recommend this Lens !
The shoe lace / corner shot was my fave. Two things nicely composed in frame but it’s that elusive 3rd+ layer that’s rare to get
Thanks mate! Yeah it’s a tricky one. Even when it does show up, if the timings off slightly it’s a bust.
Loved the shots you got at the Cook's Fresh Market corner Liam. The colours of the board and tree shadow look pretty cool! My favourite needs to be the guy tying his shoelace with the man looking off to the side. Beautiful light out there too, wish we got more of that here in Scotland, haha. Excellent work.
Thanks Craig! That was my favorite too. The best thing about Colorado is how sunny it is. It can be a bit too harsh sometimes in the middle of the day but I’ll take it over the damp & cloudy Scottish weather :) that being said, you can get some nice moody shots in Scotland 🏴
Right on man, great content. I’m considering picking up this combo, think you might’ve sold me.
Thanks for watching! I’m glad the video helped. I should say, overall I didn’t enjoy using the camera but I am probably among the minority. It is very capable and probably has the best IQ I’ve seen for street photography. Worth renting first to try it out ✌️
Some good shots you got there. I like the shot at 0:59. Image is split by light and shadow, on each side is a person and in the middle you see the reflections of the red umbrellas.
The most important is to get the repetitions in. I still need to work on that.
Thanks mate. Yeah it’s all about the reps. I’d been slacking for a while too.
Liam Gordon Thank you for the follow-up video on sony a7c street photography photos and even it has the electronic shutter it is not reliable if you shoot and walk away like how you shoot on your leica m typ 262 . I'm thinking of this camera because I have sony camera system for my paid work and I want street photography camera compact, but still I'm not in to it like how you describe it on your past video, and again in this video I see how you struggle with the camera to take the shot you want but still it isn't fit in your style of use. And I imagine if I were you on that situation I'll be same as you struggle with the camera operation or how to shoot comfortably that's why you test with viewfinder and screen but still it isn't working well. But nice video bro thanks and keep it up. Nice photos even struggled with the camera
Have you used the zeiss 35mm f2 yet?
No not yet. Not sure I ever will to be honest :(
if only u showed the camera setup 💀
On a sunny day in Denver it’s f11, iso 800, 1/1000.
