Timeless. I never get tired of watching it. We are all diminished with the passing of Little Richard. He really knew how to jam and rock it out of the park. Hell of a showman, too.

one few movies can watch over and over and never gets tired, same as batman 1989, robocop 1987, aliens 1986, and more 80s knew how make movies, try and well measure that against films of today which have no staying power what so ever.

***** lol I've watched this film too time and time again and then one day the tape snapped so got another VHS tape, then DVD players came in and retired the video player and the first DVD was Predator ...again. Always loved the part were the big indian [Sonny Landham - Billy] stands on that log and drags that gret big fuck off knife out.. epic scene.
Hermosa la música y la película, la primera vez que la vi volvía a mi casa con un compañero del servicio militar y el dueño del cine nos invitó a pasar gratis. Han pasado 35 años y todavía es mi película preferida.
Great fun flick! I’ve seen it at least a dozen times and will watch it again anytime it’s on. The cast was so great! Arnold, Carl Weathers, Jesse the Body Ventura etc. Two great lines: Get to the chopper! And I ain’t got time to bleed! This was a macho festival! And those big guns! The machine gun Ventura had could chop down trees 🌳! Old Painless he called it. Unbelievable Firepower! Then the Predator with all his Alien Gear. I like how Arnold fights and defeats him with old tech traps and techniques. Bows and Arrows and Camouflage. He was like the Primal man against The Predator from another planet! Great movie 🍿!
A leader is Arnold's secret to success. Watching these as a kid was always great. I watch this movie 200+ since 1992 to onward. I enjoy every line and every part of this movie. For me, this movie will always be in my heart and mind as long as I live. Cheers to Arnold role play as "Major Dutch Schafer"
This is the first place I came as soon as I found out. This will always be my favorite scene in cinema history because of this song. RIP Little Richard.
Most of Dutch's team, including himself and Dillon were Vietnam veterans. In fact in real life (aside from Jesse Ventura serving in the Vietnam era) the actor Richard Chaves, who played Poncho Ramirez is a Vietnam veteran.
In my opinion, this scene epitomizes the mood that Predator seems to show: It's a pretty gruesome horror movie, and almost all characters die, but after all, the alien is destroyed and symbolically, humanity seems to triumph. Even in the face of death, these guys are really funny and do their duty, unafraid to die because they're doing it for the common good. You may blame this portrayal on the cheesiness of the 80s, on the superficial hero characters of an American psyche suffering from its the post-Vietnam ego-loss or on the economic hopes of the Reagan years, but there are also other movies from the same period that portray a very different vision. Take the Alien franchise - of course, closely related to Predator. In the alien movies, a nihilistic, depressive mood seems to prevail, where humanity - and above all, Ripley, is always on the brink of extinction. That's not the kind of movie I can watch repeatedly, because I'm convinced it doesn't portray reality. In a strict sense, neither does Predator, but as part of an optimistic culture, it does.
Predator is the best movie out of these franchises and closely followed by james camerons aliens and predators, you are right in what you say and predator is an amazing creation
Agreed. No one wants to see these men get killed, but they sure as hell fought like warriors to the end. Each and every one of them acted like men, even in the face of death stalking them.
Had the absolute JOY of flying in a Vietnam combat Huey last year for my 40th. It was epic, everything you could dream of and more. Being able to take a flight in a movie and cultural icon was amazing and I'd recommend it to anyone and everyone all day
