Great exercise! Just wondering about a few things - so we should not be looking at each individual octave since we are trying to develop that kinesthetic memory and instead be looking at say the music stand? Also, how do you recommend getting those big intervals - a wide stance? I noticed you crouch for them. Thanks so much for the exercise!
Thank you Eric! Yes I think it is good to have kinaesthetic memory for wider intervals to help with pieces or situations where maybe you don't have as much time to regroup your vision to the next phrase, which may be inconvenient or in a completely different interval 😂I've been trying to develop this 'feel' thing for a while and it's still a work in progress... As for the reach, some people like to use their armspans which I find difficult as I am tall and awkward... so yes I prefer the stability of being low to the ground with feet wide apart 😄
Hey Adam! Love your videos. Could you make a video about how you tackle one-handed rolls? I can get them relatively even in each hand, but I’m having trouble increasing roll speed. Much love from Buffalo NY!
Liam McManus I did do a technique talk exercise called the 1234 that can build it up halfway, but maybe I can try one that is specifically for the one handed roll! In the meantime keep building it up from a super slow tempo 😀
Could we get your opinion on the exercises used by big drum corps and indoor percussion groups in America? They all have different variations that can be found on their websites like for Pulse Percussion, RCC, and Broken City Percussion.
Hey Adam, I have solo and ensemble coming up and I’m performing fry by mark ford and it is my first ever four mallet solo. Could you help me with controlling the “outside mallets” (I don’t know what to call them) better? I would appreciate it a lot
This will 100% help me for that but i still have such a hard time holding octaves. My mallets slips from hands ans i don't know what to do. Any suggestions to help fix the problem?

I love these! We don't have many four mallets warmups, so I try to learn these. Thanks!

Great video!! And Oh my gosh!! I’m soooo excited for your pieces!! Especially the 4.3 octave considering that’s all I have to practice. Yay!!
Love the new vid style and thanks for giving out warmups you make available for free🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

You should review 0GarvityPercussion mars mallets
Great excersize! I was just wondering about how you think the marimba one double helix series compares to the 0gravity Jupiter mallets? Thanks

Love it, metronome on stage 8 was a little off your tempo but I like it 😂
Marcos Aguilar YES I am so out of time LOL, you would definitely do this better than me!
Wonderful! I’ll have to try this. (I didn’t say succeed I said try) 😂
Ben Drummond Hahaha dude of course you will succeed!
lol that end of Merlin II lick at like 2:17
I could never reach that freaking chord
Sick visual tear at 13:12 lol
You should do a video on budget marimba for under 2000. I'm trying to find a good marimba to buy but I can't find anything I'm really satisfied with.
Brayton Gust Same, have you found one?
Going to MalletLab woot woot!

Someone got YEEZYs?! Aii Adam Yaherddd
The Nintendo Switch sound FX are real, folks. They are so real.
You know I'm learning it once I get to school 😏 I needed something new to practice anyways 😂
Sophia Suante Yesssss can’t wait to see your version!!
Now you should rinse and repeat but alternate it like 1 2 3 4 3 2 1 (instead of simultaneously)
Pleas "Whats in my bag" 2018
That technique talk intro tho
I'm in seventh grade percussion my main focus is not marimba mine is snare
Is it good that I’m a freshman in high school and I can nearly play by feel, as well as being quite good at even difficult four mallet pieces
Definitely! That's way ahead of me hahaha
Thanks man, keep up the great work!
I like the Nintendo Switch noises :)
D-ManG123 I’m so glad man! I think they are just so relaxing haha
