Filthy 13 matches what you said the other day about Ace cards... 1 only as a special kicker for a deck build. If anyone ever wants to take that first 2 slot. Great place for it after you balance the rest of the deck, if you have two points left over.
Looks like they played it super safe with Airborne divisions after MoS. No scary CQC, no Commando, AT looks annoying, (Raider, AT Rocket Planes) but also looks rather light and will struggle beyond 1200m or so. Armor is phase locked and unimpressive, no Sniper proliferation, not even an offmap. It actually almost looks DOA competitively, and will most likely get played more casually by people that just want to use 101st.
SPWs, fsj, Arato jet bomber, gebirsjager the entire div, gerlich guns to name a few😁 but axis units rarely have the cost efficiency that allied units have. Think about pzgrens in comparison to all non Soviet infantry. Hilariously inefficient by comparison. And this is a common trend from my perspective.
@@atkpwrgaming I feel like pz grens are more efficient than all non-commando commonwealth inf at anything outside of 100m range. They can reliably 1v2 rifles since they output so much more suppression in the first burst. Romanian and Hungarian inf are also more cost efficient than western allied non-commando inf. Western allied armor is less efficient than Axis armor when fighting other armor, and while Shermans are the best at getting rid of inf; Turan 2s, SPW 233s, the halftracks with the short 75 fulfill the same purpose with slightly less speed at significantly lower cost. @sir_vix atkpwr is quite biased towards the axis and just likes to complain when the allies have even a slight advantage
Looks like this division will struggle in 1v1 quick play. I like that not every division is super strong though. Too many of the divisions coming out recently have just been topping each other time and time again. It’s time to bring the power level in game down a notch.
It seems like a more balanced airborn division than the ones added in the previous dlc. still more than capable of being a monster in competitive. also in quickplay I can imagine you will get pretty frequent matches where an opponent won't be able to handle the overwhelming airpower if you suppress their AA or if they don't invest in it enough/play a division with bad AA. *edit* just checked the Wiki for the Ordnance QF 6-pounder, there is an APCR shell that entered production in 1943. there was also an APDS shell that entered production in 1944 by October. it does look like however that the penetration value of the APCR is very close to the penetration value of the APDS as I can't fine the penetration for the APCR.

to be honest it seems like an amazing division but unlike some divisions in the game it won't hold your hand or roflstomp an enemy by its mere existence.
That is what I thought first but actually, on what map does this div work? On cqc maps, it doesn't have enough cqc. On anything more open, it lacks long range AT capabilities. The only map I see it good is orsha east.
@@mimile4462 it was mostly just a pun on the AB... I think you are right in your analysis. I would guess it is actually B tier. The air force looks brutal and you have plenty of arty to suppress any AA, so it should shred any division with weak AA. On the flip side, imagine trying to fight Toulon on one of the Slutsk maps...
I haven't even watched yet but I can tell the slots already are looking like this division with be cracked. *edit* and after watching I know this Division will be cracked but this looks like it will require a high skill player to actually succeed, it also looks like what everyone probably thinks the Americans fought like in WW2. if you don't keep on top of your AA game this division will completely bury you in air power.
Feeling optimistic about this DLC. Divisions look good, without being OP. If they nerf the MoS divs correctly we could be back firing on all cylinders.
I think 30 points is appropriate for the AB rifles. they have a solid machinegun at least equivalent to an MG-34 and a Bazooka which is just as effective as a Panzerschreck in gameplay terms. top that off with Semi auto rifles and a double Thompson the thing is a monster in towns and anywhere other than green forest fighting. I can see these things jumping out from behind buildings or inside of forests and popping any armor that gets within 250 meters which is a really long range for an infantry unit that makes up the bulk of your division. also Raider trait makes them extra annoying.
pretty sure there was an APCR option for the 57mm gun, not sure if the brits or the Americans produced it just like how there was an APHE for the 6 pounder but it was only used by the US. I believe the shell would have been called a "hyper velocity" shell at the time period.

It will be a good division but yeah not made for long range maps. It isn't S tier or A++ but more B+ tier

p51 B fighter bomber is in TF 45 and has the same availability there, so im guessing its a hold over from that division.

I think it’s solid it just doesn’t have a very good map. Cqc isn’t good enough for close maps and there is of course no long range

I don’t think the div is cracked at all. Infantry are really not that efficient and there are some serious things to work around

AB Rifles -> 30 is such a knee jerk reaction to 1st Airborne which should’ve just had a nerfed Air tab. They are not worth 30

AB Rifles at 25 completely outclassed so many other 25 point squads. Even in the same nation, AB Rifles were a straight upgrade to Rifles(early).

Based on what I’ve seen, none of the divisions seem insane. Which is really nice. Hard to say though, there are some potentially scary divs
Ugh, all these awesome units in SD2's game engine, but no Western front maps to play with them in?! And no mod support for player maps???
Sorry to say the way maps are made in this engine don't lean into having map tools considering how many elements require hard coding.
