Selena & Fausten's Final Date (Wide View)

Day 3 of Saying Goodbye & Remembering Selena.
Today's video tribute is a footage I was able to capture while we were all saying our goodbyes & preparing to take her to meet with her new owner. The other kitties never really accepted her during her years in our home, until a few months ago. Skinny & Fausten were kind to her, & Fausten in particular seemed sweet on her. We all joked they were "boyfriend & girlfriend". Guess it was very true as Fausten spent time with her for a final dinner date and a goodbye sniffing just before we left. What do you think?
We had to make the hard decision & say goodbye to Selena. She was an excellent mouser & loved to show affection towards me & my oldest daughter. Luckily, it's not what you might be thinking-we had to re-home her. As Selena was our rescue kitty, it was difficult to train the feralness completely out of her. She was used to using the soft dirt as a litterbox, so she instead of using the litterbox all the time, she would seek out and find our seedling starts for our vegetables. Cat urine kills the plants and makes the dirt unusable. After a year, she just was not stopping. The other factor is that the other kitties (except for Skinny & Fausten finally) never completely accepted her, so there was always fighting. It was time to find her a better home to live in, one where our food plants weren't being killed and one where she could be the center of attention, affection, and treats. We did find a kind hearted man who really wanted a kitty companion. After explaining her complete back story, he really wanted her. His plan is to spoil her with food (canned & dry), treats, cat toys, affection, and being the center of attention!

I will be posting every day until the end of next week for "Selena Remembrance Week", as we say goodbye & remember the good time & wish her the best for an even better life as the center of spoiling attention! We will miss her & that distinct "Meow", as you will hear in the video here. I have videos that were all edited and waiting to be used, I have unused footage, & I have some footage that was an idea, but I never got the chance to finish filming for it.

On the topic of kitties: We are still having difficulties paying Sparta's Vet bill from that previous time: $8,000. The new cost that was just added to it: $5,000. Thank you to everyone who prayed for a full recovery. I will continue to post updates. Pray that we get the money needed to pay off this big debt.
