Vaughn Resisents react to new York University Medical school coming to city

Over six million Canadians do not have access to a family doctor and are currently on waitlists to get one. However, Canadians are expressing their excitement that York University and the City of Vaughan recently announced a new medical school expected to open in 2028 that focuses on primary health care.

Opening of the school means nothing when the money is stateside.

Sane problem as in the UK and yes British medics emigrate to the US or Australia for better conditions. On average if you do have a doctor you wait three weeks for routine appointments or go to the A&E if seriously ill and wait for up to 12 hours.

Family doctor? Like in Little House On The Prarie times? Dang. Cool. Vintage concept. Sounds difficult to pull of in a serious modern big city without crashing into vulture capitalism, but go for it. Would be interesting to see it succeed in a modern town.
