@@NailMasteryByTatyana I am having the same problem with my thumb nail as your hand model and my nail tech has not been able to fix it I really need that video or another one like it from a nail tech who knows what they are doing I've look for others that might have the same nail issues at the cuticle but no luck if someone has seen a video that had the correct way to fix it please leave the info here or leave a reply I'm in need of help that actually works I've been using cuticle oil religiously so the crack doesn't get worse but I would love to find a fix it. Please someone point me in the right direction and I will be so very grateful. Thank you Tatyana for all of your TOP QUALITY VIDEOS you are one of the reasons I've singed up to start nail school (the other reason is my LOVE for all things nails! )
@@melissadelrosario9975 hi! I have a client with that problem too, in her case it's a matrix damage (the part from where the nail grows was hit some way or just damaged) and from what I've tried there's not much we can do, she's come to multiple services and sadly that's just the way her nail grows now, it's not causing her pain or anything, I've just been doing an overlay and trying to be careful over that part when filing. You just have to see if in your case the growth continues to be cracked then it's a matrix problem, and if not it'll just grow away
Too cute! I’ve recently been doing my own nail since mine nails are very damaged because of health issues I’ve been doing the lazy girl method, full gel nail extensions but I’ve been adding a very high arch because I love looking at my nails and seeing them look like a airplane wing shape, straight walls, high arch. Makes my swollen fingers look so much slimmer, seriously my wedding ring is a sz 6 now I often can’t wear sz 13 rings. Wish I could find full gel tips with the arches I like. I’ve also been watching a lot of nail techs from Japan, and Korea the way they add so much bling in clusters or covering the entire nail amazing. Your still my favorite though.
Love all your videos, and like other comments you have such a soothing voice ❤️ Some of my nails peel, I’ve tried most things on the market but I can’t “cure” the problem, would having acrylics / extensions help or make the problem worse? any ideas?
I have wanted to try acrylic for a long time now, but I think most salons here don’t care enough about their clients, thus the quality of the manicure isn’t very good 😞 I have heard though that acrylic can help encourage natural nails to grow out straight! But for the overall health of the nails I’m not sure if acrylic would make them better…it could make them worse.
😳 You said you use the flame drill bit for cuticles on 25,000 rpm? Isn't that very high for cuticle work? (I guess I've always been taught to use cuticle bits at a low speed, around 7-10,000... Am I going way too slow?) 🤩 Beautiful set by the way! I love your videos and greatly appreciate the knowledge you share! 🙏☺️
I have a client that has that exact recurring issue with her thumbnail. I’ll definitely be watching your next video to see how you handle it. I haven’t been able to really find much info on it, do you know if that problem has a specific name?
It’s called Median Nail Dystrophy… it’s caused by damage on the cuticle area.. I have them on my thumbs as well.. wanted to know if I could put product on it?
I have some of their builder gels but I have a hard time with them because they're so sticky. Any tips or tricks anyone has to make using it easier? Also, i think I'm going to try these gel liners. They look so easy to use!
Watch as many videos as you can. Dorota Palicka has some great videos on gel. And you want to have a very light touch with it. Use a floating technique.
@@amymandeville8342 that will definitely cause problems. Another channel you may want to check out is Nailcou. I'm only using hard gel these days and I've learned so much from both of those channels.
I adore these nails.. just perfect!! I have horrible thumb nails, they have always split like that in the middle. Can’t wait to see how you handle it:)
@@saraha80 I honestly think it’s due to poor nutrition and not taking proper care like just never putting anything on my nails. Other times it was because I had those fake glue ones and really damaged my thumbs taking them off. I am so grateful to have access to these types of informational videos! Has your mom always had these splits?
@@heathertimmons6104 no, it's only recent. I'm thinking it's damage as she is quite clumsy and is always catching her fingers in drawers etc! 🤦♀️ I agree, these kind of videos are great, I'm a nail tech and am constantly learning!
This happened to one of my thumbnails after I overused an e-file.I have heard numerous Russian manicurist speak about large lunula's on thumbnails being very delicate.
I love watching your videos so much and have learnt so much about nail care aswell as a whole lot of other things to lookout for and to help maintain the natural nail when applying extensions. I have been doing my own extensions for 10+ years now however I'm only a very bare minimalist on nail art I may add a bit of glitter here and there or the odd rhinestone but that's due to personal preference. I love your videos and everything you create but I love how you explain everything along the way on how products can impact the natural nail, how to fix it or what alternative to use ect .. thanks so much Tatyana.❤️❤️
Her nails reminded me of the Minecraft esthetic at the beginning. 🖤💚 Your model today has such perfect hands and nails, like a China doll but with absolutely stunning nails done by your artistic self. 👌 Blessings from Scotland. 🙏🏴🌺
Ya see that folks? When she’s putting on the pink builder gel? She puts a thin layer down first at the cuticle so when she puts more on, for the structure, she can bounce it up there and it drags down easier so ya don’t get a huge lump of gel at the cuticle! Mad skills there!
How did you fix her thumb nail? That was the reason I watched. I need help. Both of my thumb nails are spit and I can't seem to line them out no matter what I have tried. PLEASE HELP!!!
I have this type of split on one of my thumbnails.I believe it's from over use of an e file, I have extremely large lunulas on my thumbnails and have heard you talk about how they are very delicate..I wish that you would have spoke more about it or linked the video in which you treated it.
You do the most beautiful nails. Shorter nails are beautiful. Everyone does long nails. I can’t wear long nails. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and designs with us. I love your videos so much.
What builder gels do you use? The ones I have are always a bit too transparent so I can still see the line between the nail bed and free edge even when it’s on relatively thick.

I enjoy watching your videos, especially the fact that you use different bits and not the the overly popular ones like a 5 in 1 bit. 😉

Have you tried Apres’? They have natural and sculpted. The sculpted one have a stronger C-curve therefore giving the high arch.

Doesn’t 25,000 rpm’s ruin the clients cuticle area? I only use 3,000 on myself…
