I think this might be a result from the use of "Thalomid" during pregnancy. It is recorded snd noted that children can be born with some misplaced appendages or non existing ones. The worst mutation that's been recorded was there was no nose or mouth on the baby. However, there were lungs.
This woman is incredibly lucky to have been born with negligible mutations. After all, the hands won't be any more functional than a set of toes. Thankfully, this gentleman could see past the difference. And this brave woman has done what I doubt I could be strong enough to do if I were in her position. So, I'm happy she'd found a perfect gentleman.
Though this condition doesn't need to be repeated and bring never ending anxiety and depression over a side effect of a morning sickness pill. I know that Europe has banned Thalomid completely, as has the UK. The USA has tried but not completely. And it's still legal, even over the counter in south America.
