@@doreenjohnston7672 Hey Doreen. It is a amazing. I just was recapping on something. Please bear with me as I narrate it.
Over 16 yrs back, I developed an anger management issue. It happened that I was working a stressful sales job (for commission) in an HMO. In Uganda, this HMO stuff was new and toiled. Anyways I thought I'd set up a team of other fellows (about 5) and we could begin our own company with the skills we'd built. Turned out I was doing all the work.
When my "buttons" new Nokia phone rang suddenly, it has been placed near my ear and at a bed wooden bed rest. It rang in a preset mode called "rhythmic backlights" and a loud irritating tune when I was asleep. The shock triggered the spike of anger in me, so much that when I got pissed off with someone and didn't fight, my spinal cord would get so much pain that it felt like I was going to snap. At one time on top of a 6 storry mall- I wanted to there's down the chap in the group that was giving commands and only smoking cigarettes but nothing else. I even began to put my laptop down... you know- the "hold my purse" thing!
I had been working with Doctors , and the very best. They gave me tranquilizer meds. A friend (not colleague)... young Doc and class contemporary told me to notice when the anger would arise. He told me that I could actually feel, to almost hear it see the first tickle. He told me to in that first moment- take a very, very deep breath... and much slower than I took it, breath out. The long of it is I was off the meds in 1 day! How is it related to your point of getting off a break habit and the glory of God?
Even as am now born again, no one's perfect- all have fallen short of The Glory of God... Only He is Holy. So I recalled this verse;
Psalms 57:8
Awake up, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.
Then I researched into what it is to mean those things said... especially "Psaltery". I did that because I noticed that "I myself do wake up, only when my 'psaltery is awake'.
Of course Psaltery is a music instrument. But there's a double meaning to it, one without contradiction to the whole, even as it is wholly different. Turns out (as well) that Psaltery, is a meaning for 'DISGRACE' and otherwise all manner of its root in Hebrew "Nebal".
Well then it means to me; we are "nebal-ed" before we enter any glory, good or bad! Our state is an extrapolation of a string already played. Somebody played a string- we manifest the bad habit later. If we were to be in a good psaltery, the "myself factor" would follow through. Thus we needed to with disgusted by a sticky habit, see into self when it is tickling one to ONLY GET RELAXATION AFTER THE MANIFEST FACT OF DEED!
I was just about to do that very habit I struggle with. Then a scripture (above I have shared) came and guess what? The urge to "other thing"- "myé" (mye lingual here for disappeared or even never was)
So in moment I was trying to write on Google docs link an article, I peeped on to UA-cam. I saw your comment... in that instant, after saving page and page colour!
God is good Doreen! He is so good, He'd open secrets of dark places and share them with us. Of this am sure; there's a secret in life you are going to bump into (if not already), to the praise of God Almighty in Christ Jesus! For God never played favouritism.

I remember when I struggled with anger, I just fell on my knees one day and said to God you have to help me, I have read books, tried meditation and it didn't work and I can't be like this, you not like that. I was delivered and never had that anger again. God is a deliver..amen
I wish God would deliver me. It's not specifically agra per se but I have two issues that have plug my whole life, and I prayed about him. So far there hasn't been significant relief.
@robynalvin2849 don't stop praying about it. Find scriptures related to what you are dealing with , go on a fast belief that God has delivered you, and thank Him for your deliverance. Sometimes, those things will come back, but this is the process of war where Satan wants you to doubt that God can deliver you, go on a journey of understanding and knowing God's love for you and one day you will sit and look back and realise it's God. God's word works. I see his hand upon my life, and I do go through challenges, but I also know Jesus already won the fight and took it head-on. As Christians, we will always be winners 🏆 always but our lives need to allign with who we are in Christ.
