The Frankinstax is an amazing addition to my photographic work and I'm getting a second RB67 for it so I don't have to switch backs all the time. Also, besides being a great piece of equipment, it is being produced by the nicest person I have encountered in my dealings with equipment manufacturers. Sam is most helpful and always available whether by email or phone. Chapeau Sam for producing such a wonderful piece of joy and for being a great 'Mensch'!
thank you so much!!! lots of just thinking in advance and remembering what you already shot. also can take a photo through the viewfinder before you take a photo so you know exactly what your first shot looks like
These are some of the best studio images I've seen in a hot minute, really incredible work... 7:55 is probably one of the best singular photos I've seen in maybe ever haha
Amazing Photos as always! Might have to go to Southeast Camera and get another medium format camera! that Frankinstax is such a great idea. thank you for sharing this with us!
Amazing photos! I love the double exposure shots. Instax film can produce really good results with the right equipment and someone, like you, who knows what they are doing. I shoot 130 film, too, and absolutely love it.
Dude a pop up exhibition would be fantastic but I would love to see you at an event like actors shot like this would be insane, you need to get yourself out there!
Thank you for this! I did some experiments like these with Instax Wide, and your video inspired me to do it again with Instax Square and the MiNT TL70 Plus
The Lomography Instax wide back on 4x5 camera is amazing. Similar results you are getting here. Awesome work. I bought a used SQ1 and jammed on first exposure. I wish I could send this out. I’d attach it to a Graflex Century 2x3 camera
My lomography instax wide back just arriveda few days ago - can't wait to try it on my toyo 4x5. Awesome this video just dropped, it is just the motivation I need to try it out today! Awesome shots!
I’ve a a gen 1 for over a year, got it before he grained traction and man. Definitely changed my photography as well. I legitatmely got a mint rb pro and 70mm just for the frakinstax
@@linusandhiscamera 35mm ff equiv, my favourite focal length. Wide enough I don’t have to move back but not too wide it turns portraits of people into eggs.
I shoot single shot Instax mini in an empty FP-100 cartridge in the Polaroid back on the 645. It almost covers the format with a small l-shaped black frame.
Studio lighting with instax is too good. I just wish the latitude was a little better but with the right lighting you can fire out some fire! Lomograflok with a 4x5 is where it's at for me. I also love shooting instax mini through my Pentax 67.
Fantastic and informative vid. When you have shoots like this, do you also take digital images with the models or stick solely to the film? I'm trying to figure out how to incorporate film and digital together into my business model.
when people ask me why I shoot more instax than polaroid I'll just send them this video. Your results are amazing. Just goes to show that instax can go as far as you can take it.
can you please make a 3d printed film camera that you manually have to open and close the shuter by hand (no battery, no electric chip, no wires, no buttons, 10$ budget, film and glass dont effect budget)
Nice, let me know if you ever come to Johannesburg, I will sell you some FP-100C for cheaper. The Fuji FP 100C's bleached negative is even better, sharper greater latitude......etc.
So glad you're enjoying the Frankinstax! The double exposures are unreal, amazing work.
This is crazy dope! What are the odds you make one for the Bronica GS-1?
@@isaacrowry3357 I haven't looked to far into it, working on an RZ model now and will take a look once that's completed!
@@isaacrowry3357 That actually looks doable, focusing on the RZ at the moment though!
Completely understand. Let me know if there's anyhting I can do to assist on that@@Cats_and_Film
I've been wanting to get one of these for ages, but as a Hasselblad 500CM user, there are not so many options out there... :(
The double exposures are insanely good
2:31 goosebumps!
Haha, nevermind, there is even more of the good stuff towards the end :D
thank you sm jackson fr!!
the vibes in that studio were fire
thank you!!

Also my favorite image at 4:55. The yellow spotlight compliments the red so well, and the facial expression is so beautiful 🥲
those double exposure shots are simply crazy, how do you even pre-visualize it, so great!
thank you so much!!! lots of just thinking in advance and remembering what you already shot. also can take a photo through the viewfinder before you take a photo so you know exactly what your first shot looks like
This is great. It's good to see an instax back used in a studio environment to show what it's really capable of. Just ordered a back for my Hassy
The shot at 7:58 is incredible, you're an inspiration mate. Great job!
Dude, those are sick! I love those images! Great work!
Probably my favorite photography video of the year so far- amazing work Linus! 🙏🏽🙌🏽💪🏽
thank you so much!!! appreciate ya
My understanding is this is what studio guys used to do with pack film back in the day. Looks awesome
I've been eyeing one one of these for a while now, seems to be the best made instax back for the RB-67.
agreed
so good. some of these shots with the red lights remind me of the film "in the mood for love"
appreciate you josiah!! been meaning to watch that film - been on music video sets where that whole film is the mood board
please make a photo book with all the experimental studio shots, they are such a huge inspiration
working on it!!

Those red vibes reminded me Wong Kar Wai films. Super cool Linus as usual!
Kimya’s double exposure has Songs in the Key of Life album cover vibes. 🔥🔥🔥
double exposures go HARDDDDDD... holy shit. Awesome video.
thank you!!

Thanks for watching!!
cool tech and the proofing ability seems handy but i cant get over the instant film colors and tint. the 120 images just look better
Thank you so much!!
your work is so INCREDIBLE, Linus!
appreciate you sm!!
Awesome work! The double exposure shots remind me of 90s movies posters :)
this is absolutely stunning. you are VERY inspiring Linus best luck to you!
thank you so much, and you as well!
I would LOVE this on a Mamiya 645

Thank you for this video. It inspired me to buy zinstax (for RZ system). I really enjoyed your video and your genie posive vibe
Great, inspiring video as always. Do you think we’ll see a 645 version with Instax mini at some point? Would love to use it on my Mamiya645
would love to see it!
Beautiful pictures !
thank you so much!!
photos turned out beautiful

Great video! Would love to get a Frankinstax one day. What focal length were you using for these shots?
Wow. Very impressive results. 👏👏
appreciate you!!
Wow amazing… well done
This just made me want to work with you even more!!!!! So cool
lomography do an instax wide back for 5x4 cameras, really curious to see someone try that
I went with the Intrepid Camera and Lomography Lomograflok for the Instax Wide for portraits
New linus video lets go
we out here!
Best video ever! Thanks for sharing.
Is that able with Mamiya RZ67?
thank you so much!! he's working on a RZ version
This is amazing work
These are freakin baller
thank you!!
looks super nice
right!!
What an amazing video !
The colors at 4:52 are beautiful too
RIGHT!!
I love it!
thank you!!
Amazing photos! 😍 how do you know how much in the viewfinder will fill the instax frame tho?
it has an insert that shows you how much of the frame you're shooting!
soooo good my bro!
love you dawgy
Oh wow. That's cool AF
appreciate it!!
Amazing!
Awesome work, love it 🚀
Could you please share iphone app for metering? 🤓struggling to find proper one for myself
Wanna try this with a Hasselblad 500 cm , haven’t seen any reviews of hassypb tho or similar branded backs. Fire work tho
amazing stuff! how to you archive your polaroids and instax pictures? I struggle finding those plastic sheets you showed at 9:10
Wow Linus some great stuff yet again. What light meter do you use in your phone?
What shutter speed are you shooting at? Looks amazing ❤

These images are amazing! Gained a sub!
Can I get a frankinstax for a Bronica ETRS? This is great.
drop the instax scanning method now
Would this work with the RZ 67?
Hope they make Polaroid one
would be dope!!
How are you making these double exposures??
Wow! Anyone know if this would be compatible with a Bronica ETRS?
is the 3d print file open source for this?
would be worth asking!
Kinda surreal seeing the double exposures
literally how i feel
can you please make a 3d printed film camera that you manually have to open and close the shuter by hand (no battery, no electric chip, no wires, no buttons, 10$ budget, film and glass dont effect budget)
like zero editing. Just done off the rip. And it looks like this?? Incredible
Make a reliable one for the hassy and I'm in.
Haha I'm trying, but it'll require a completely new product as the film plane distance is just so small. Such a great camera though.
@@Cats_and_Film Many have tried, no one has gotten it right yet.
shot on 7:07 is PERFECT
bruhhhh thank you!
this is the analog version of raw + jpeg but way cooler
LMAO
Nice photos. But the price is too rich for my wallet. Plus it says for Mamiya on their website. You can't use it with other medium format cameras?
Nice, let me know if you ever come to Johannesburg, I will sell you some FP-100C for cheaper. The Fuji FP 100C's bleached negative is even better, sharper greater latitude......etc.
Surprised the film packs are relatively cheap...
Fuji needs to get off their ass and make a decent glass lensed camera. Manual focus is fine.

This is fast pacing towards digital again 😂😂😂😂, history repeating 😅😅😅😅, next month wooow low resoltion studio sesh with EOS D30 😊
500$?! Yeah.... Ill pass
ridiculous dude. blows my video about the frankinstax out of the water.
Yours is dope too!!!
@@Cats_and_Film just means I gotta make another one soon 😎
I wouldn't say it's as sharp as the lens. Not even close actually.
