It’s September 25th. 2023! Hello to anyone reading this. 😃
Happier days when I was a little kid.
Has to be Patrick Allen voicing the Goodyear ad.
Jim Clark in the BSM ad.
Fairy liquid jingle by Johnny Johnston.
3:08 ...
A young Lesley Ash !
Paul Duca:
We had green shield stamps as well as pink stamps so there was a choice.
I'd forgotten all about the Pink stamps!
Bloody hell, Paul, you're making me feel old!
Yep I have hundreds of adverts I purchased off a guy on e bay and going through them I feel my age!
Lesley Ash in the Fairy Liquid ad?
Correct.
They couldn't use the term (or color) Green in England for their trading stamps?
In was 1 years old at the time 1964
why are they all cropped???
the original video uploaded 2 years prior to this had watermarks
Amazing how the years come and go, but one thing stays consistent - how Fairy Liquid adverts talk down to children. :)
Funnily enough I thought the opposite !
Does anybody speak like this, these days?
No one spoke like this any days.
In all honesty, unless you were involved in broadcasting or acting, nobody really spoke like that.
I disagree. My Dad did. Many did. It was about how you were raised and your schooling. Look at the RF, they spoke with received pronunciation.
No one speaks English no more it’s been destroyed
What are you speaking, dickhead?
