Good idea bro.. If he collect methane gas it would be more efficient system.. He also may think about collecting the gas in cylinder and use it in his house..collecting methane also may reduce some extra cost in this process..

Here Aerobic digestion is happening
The quantum of Methane produced is very less
If we are concern about the methane then we have to go bio gas tank (anaerobic digestion)
As time required for anaerobic digestion is high compared to aerobic digestion then the plant cost suits up
