That Borodino might not want to play much WoWS after that experience.

The taunt was constant, all it needed was Al Yukikaze going “hahaha” everytime his shells missed

I love the start where he's comparing something to mobile games, and everyone knows what it is without having it having to be said. And hes 100% correct.

I really hate that there is always that magical torpedo gap where you need to hit. Specially when you're almost dead and the enemy ship is also almost dead.

I love my Marceau, glad you put out another video of it so I can learn to play it a little better than I already am. Nice moves

Wait, AA build is viable nowadays? Feels like a decennium has passed since the CV rework when they dumpstered the AA skills and modules

at 5:56 the Hipper symbol on the minimap got that extra yellow surrounding, what that means? Tirpitz has it too.

Spotted indicator, so you know if there's an enemy ship spotting your teammate.

It means they are spotted by the enemy. This is Lesta's version of the game and they implemented this system on their version. I believe you can have something similar through the mod station in WG version of the game.

I need a Marceau guide. Every video i see about it just looks so strong, yet i cant get it to work. I always get trapped somehow and die.

You hide behind islands near cap zones, buffs or position that enemy DDs are most likely gonna show up, ambush, smoke them with DPM then dip
Hide behind islands and farm if you have spotting also

    • @Sporting1210
      @Sporting1210 18 днів тому +8

at start it is an ambush dd (depending a bit on the mm, though). You go to a cap (use terrain and avoid open caps at start if possible), keep an eye on the minimap to maybe get the information which dd you will face, then you stay in cover/wait out of spotting range until he enters the cap.
Next try to isolate the enemy dd as much as possible (things to take in account: your position - terrain - enemy ships able to help the dd you want to kill - enemy dds position) and then u go and smash^^ (or retreat, if the odds are not in your favour-patience is key)
It's a really good ship to get first blood.
After that you get dark, see whats where, maybe get the cap, reposition and either repeat/intercept another enemy dd at a different cap OR get a bit of farming going and pile up dmg (not the biggest fan of that, but its an option). Note that you normally only start farming, if you A. can do it from cover and unseen OR if the enemy ship has several options to shoot at . Farming an enemy, who is fleeing the cap (after he lost his dd) helps at that. Also, if you are facing a single BB (either pushing or kyting) you can easy stay at max range and dodge everything he throws at you, but always keep an eye on the minimap/dont over extend.
Intercepting follows the same priciple, since you dont have a smoke as exit strategy:
pay attention to the minimap, try to anticipate where the enemy dd will go, wait for your speed boost to be rdy and when u see your window: charge right at him (aou REALLY want to catch them moving towards you) , but keep them at 5-6km so you dont get a torp or two in your face. Also pay attention to things like: did he use his smoke(if he has one), did he use his torps shortly and ofc: whaich enemy dd is it. While marceu can more or less gun down anything, there are some that will be either a 50/50 or too costly (depending on the stage of the match) like Ragnar, Smalland, Haru. And dont shy away from switching ammo in the middle of a gunfight against enemy dds with some plating if they show side (Gearing, BingBong &c)
Also: using your torps pre-emptively (before you get spotted) can be helpfull, since it might force the enemy to manuveur, act as distraction or even get the job done. Once you engage-stick to your gun! switching will moste likely cost you too much dmg.
Dont start open water gunboating too early (aka dont overestimate your ship-you are still just a dd) and specially not, if you are the easiest/closest target for several enemy ships aka preserve your HP at the start (your main targets are the dds and/or maybe a cv if you get a window to get through to the mofo).
Most common mistake i see people make is to throw away their hp at start by trying to cap against overwhelming odds or by trying to bully the enemy dd at the wrong time (aka when it has too much support).
It all gets more complicated when cvs are invloved, but Marceaus AA is ok-ish and in generally thats how i played the frenchies in way over 1k battles with them and 60%+ winrate.
In general it helps to really pay attention to the minimap, since it can give you more then just the position but also a hunch about the playstyle of the opponent (scared potato/smart) and then you can adapt to that. Some people have to be handled withe extrem care (specially when in division) and some are just inapt victims.
You also might wanna skill RPF at the start, since it helps a lot with finding the enemy dds. As soon as you get the routine, drop it and go for a gun build with conceal. You can do without, but since Marceau has rather good concealment for her gun power+speed i prefered to use it, but that is more for hunting dds, so a personal preference i reckon.
      there you go:
That is ONE way to play her roughly outlined.
      Oh and on a sidenote:
I stopped playing a few month ago due to the utterly unbearable percentage of cv matches i got. Also the general decline of the playerbase and too many obvious bots, but mostly because of cvs
DDs in general and the frenchies in particular get much harder as soon as you get matchmaking with these skillless trolls in their cockroachmobils, so these days it's a lot harder and rarer to A. have fun and B. consistantly get good results (unless you are Flolo, who doesnt give two shits as it seems)

Also don't try to ambush if you don't know if there is a radar cruiser hiding too. Marceau drivers learned it the hard way.

    • @BL-yj2wp

High tier gunboat DDs in general are tough to play - you need to be way more careful than you think, especially if you don‘t have smoke to disengage and terrible concealment like Marceau. How Flamu started this game won‘t work 99% of the time when there are cruisers present, he got insanely lucky here and still lost 15k HP.
Hide somewhere near where enemy DDs might be (cap hones, choke points) and wait till they are close enough to spot them. Hope that they don‘t smoke up after you fired if there are cruisers.
Marceau can play as a long-range gunboat too because it is very fast and able to dodge most incoming fire, fall back on that if there are no good situations to safely approach enemy DDs, don‘t try to force it.

Unbelieveble, if that would have been me that Yoshino would have fired at me the entire time, dont get me wrong, Flamu is one of the best players out there but this enemy team must have been bad as well.
