Just Stop, and I say this with the utmost frankness, is an 18 who hasn't figured out the proper way to act in delicate situations. This is nothing unusual, most 18 years olds don't know how to act in these delicate situations.
The problem is, Just Stop is a relatively prominent online figure. So while the average 18 year old's mistakes will only be witnessed by a couple dozen people tops, Just Stop's mistakes are going to be seen by hundreds of thousands of people. Just Stop will recover from this. He will grow up and he will learn from his mistakes. But I do hope that next time he surrounds himself with people of more experience and maturity so they can curtail his worst ideas and impulses until he has enough sense to do that himself.
The people he surrounds himself with also need to be people he knows in real life, not people he is primarily friends with online (as you yourself said). Your description is being facetious but spending too much time online in a bubble is real thing. It dulls your connection to reality and when your connection to reality is dulled, you do foolish things because you can't properly understand the real consequences.

With how long Just Stop has been on the internet, you would think he would know how bad of an idea it is to leak private dm’s. Every time this shit happens no one wins.
Ironically, being on the internet for so long may have disconnected him from the reality of the situation. When you're online all the time, you forget that people on the other side of the screen are real and that makes it harder to have empathy for them or properly understand the consequences to your actions.
Seeing so much bad behavior and drama online desensitizes you to it. You don't realize how bad it impacts other people or even you until you experience it yourself. That's the reality currently dawning on Just Stop and it's not a pleasant awakening.

While I do feel terrible for Mark and he doesn't deserve the bullshit Veronica put him through, JustStop should not have just exposed this whole situation without Mark's blessing. This shouldn't have left dms/vcs.
Just Stop has always been out of touch. I feel like this video just showed us what been there all along. I unsubscribed to him after his response to an anituber named Noralities. While I don’t agree with all of their points, their main point of how female oriented media (shoujo) doesn’t get the same recognition as male media (shounen) was very valid. Just Stop literally said shoujo was a genre and just romance when it’s not, it’s a demographic. Finding out that he’s 18 makes perfect sense, he has some maturing to do and this situation proved it. Great video!

Honestly, I'm just really glad everyone else who watched the video felt that it should've stayed private and also knew that JS had good intentions. For me, I've decided to show my support by subscribing and engaging more in mark's content instead of just repeating the stuff that should've stayed private. I'm not the person who needs to tell him about his relationship, so why should I? Obviously, I do feel bad for Mark, but I feel like for everyone to know such a private thing after he intentionally kept this stuff out of his public life? It's just kinda shitty, and I really hope neither his wife or his followers affect him negatively because of all this.

TL;DR, when Mark was questioned about Veronica/his marriage with her, he acted oblivious/dismissive to everything being asked, such as; When asked if he was married, Mark said no. Then when told they (others in the convo) knew he was married, Mark replied "If you wanted to know if I am married, you could've just asked."

While it wasn't right for just stop to expose Mark's life like that, I really think just stop had good intentions. I wouldn't see this is him ruining his reputation more has him jumping the gun and it not ending well. And for some reason a small part of me thinks that this is going to be overdramatized in the coming days. Maybe that's just my experience on this platform giving me a bias.
Oh and I don't know what you're going on about but I have never stayed with a person that I didn't recognize after a while, that was kind of concerning. People change, and you're allowed to not like them if they do.
I think he’s definitely going to be rightly be under fire but if he learns from his mistakes here, it could just be seen in the long run as a lapse in judgement. He’s going to have to work hard to regain respect from the community, but given that this remains as one time incident and how young he is, it’s definitely not impossible.

I heard JS only met LSM like once or twice in person. It’s one thing if your close friend talks to you privately about your relationship, but when some guy you’ve met twice publicly slanders your relationship on the basis of “for your own good” and “be honest with us”, it comes off like stalker behavior. Like JS thinks everyone is entitled to LSM’s personal life? Who is out here talking about JS’s personal life or talking shit about his relationships with people?

Like you accuse LSM of lying AND his wife of grooming AND him of being ashamed to be with her. How do we know that literally anyone’s take on this situation is right? None of them actually know LSM. this is just awful. Im a huge ls mark fan, and i remember him saying something like "We may or may not be dating (referring to veronica) but i dont like sharing personal stuff" or something similar in a tweet, so its awful that just stop just showed everyone so much of marks personal info.
I just feel bad for everyone involved. Just Stop is barely an adult and doesn’t have a handle on internet etiquette, while Mark has to deal with backlash and questions he never could’ve possibly expected.

There's no coming back from this. This could've been solved by him simply expressing his concerns in a private message with Mark. Mark would likely react more positively to something like that, even if he didn't take it to heart.
But no, he dwelved into his "friends" (they only talked a few times) personal relationship and made a video essay about it like some obsessive creep.
Now Mark see's it as some guy attempting to back him into a corner. Attempting to garner support in peer pressuring Mark into leaving Veronica.
I hope Mark leaves Veronica, but this is not the way to do it. Do NOT corner victims and make them feel betrayed just to feed into your own whiye knight ego. Express your concerns as a friend but after that, it's none of your business unless the victim wants it to be.

JS brought up the alcohol part NOT to imply Mark was using Veronica to get him alcohol because he was underage. He brought that up to imply SHE was enabling him with alcohol DESPITE him being underage.
The big thing is that Veronica is almost 30 and Mark is 20. He IS an adult but it's incredibly easy to present the idea that Veronica is grooming him because of the two she is older than him by almost 10 years and people could start asking if she started talking to him before he was 18 to bring up the notion that she's 'eying him' if you get me.
The cartoon and commentary community hasn't had the best of lucky when it comes to predators so it isn't crazy why JS thought to bring this up into the open even though it's clear this is s case where he SHOULDN'T, especially even if he is right about the possible dangers of being manipulated by a spouse or partner, a lot of his points highlight he doesn't understand how a lot of couples engage with themselves.
Mark more than likely didn't want to make a big deal about the engagement BECAUSE of the very reasons JS kept going on about; Veronica's age.
And even if that wasn't the case, Mark doesn't have to or is even obligated to make a massive moment out to the public. Getting married is a special occasion but for some couples they DON'T care about making it a big deal and yes, a lot of couples don't have big ceremonies. Considering JS isn't even 20 himself his worldview is still very, very limited and his 'comments' about marriage comes off as someone who assumes the way it's done in, ahem, cartoons is how everyone does it in real life.

Good video my dude. I also suspect Daft probably had a big hand behind the creation of this video and used Just Stop's concerns as a way to get back at those who have criticisized him before. Doesn’t absolve what JS did in the end of course, but he definitely should've gotten a reality check with people who aren't terminally online as you said.
