Ah, a man of class. I've been a popper thrower forever because I don't have confidence in my spook game but I think I'm going to work on it. Any tips? I've heard slow is the key with a quick burst if you get a boil
@finomenalfishing Yes absolutely! Shorter rod 9-91/2 ft. moderate/fast. About 1-4oz rating. I cant do it from the crotch. Best to side arm with slower sweeping pulses till you get a nice slow rhythm going. Usually throw a 7". Alot less strenuous than pencils imo.
Gotcha. Yeah I bet the sweep motion would be a PITA with a longer rod. I usually go for the longer rods but I do have a custom 8 foot rod that I might be able to try it out with. I wish I had the combo (or my fly rod) in the situation in the video, it would've been ideal. Thanks for the tips
Yeah I probably could've made it easier for him to net. I'm terribly rusty when it comes to the kayak fishing lol. Glad you enjoyed it, that's my goal.
Hey Dave! Yeah, I will post if now. Do you mind if I use that picture of you and your fish as the thumbnail? If not, no worries, I will change it no problem.
100%. I used to go solo a while back but that is a more daunting prospect nowadays, even with a PLB and VHF and whatnot. I'd be happy for you to join us next time if you want to go. Send me your contact info at Finomenalfishing@gmail.com if you're interested!
Yea i safe to park there and fish there too try it in the next video my boy please 🙏 you will like 👍 please try it in the next video please 🙏 you will catch so much flounder and striped bass i promise you
Go fishing in bridge creek in Staten Island western avenue it a saltwater wetland there are crabs flounders and striped bass please 🙏 fish there in the next video please 🙏 i support your videos please 🙏 try there in the next video please 🙏 you will like 👍 it
Just took a look at it. It looks fun, could be a good place for the fly rod. Perhaps next year, my sister lives in NYC and I visit her from time to time, I could potentially try it. is the area safe and whatnot? I've never been there so I don't know much about the area. Parking also seems like it might be a little tough
Hey man, gotta keep striper fishing a little sacred and avoid spot burning, and time stamping shit. Giving out dates can completely alter someones fishing season and long behold theres 20 guys there that would never be there x years from now half of them in jeans bc ya know what, catching bass on topwater during a December jersey blitz is not difficult. Again. Idgaf what spot you burn in jersey just know that the content guys from long island that are loose w their videography if you know what i mean, are not respected. Period. Tight lines.
Yeah because there aren't a million pieces of web content out there that don't talk about Sandy Hook and fall Striper fishing there lol. There were literally hundreds of people on the beaches this day. I'm not trying to burn special spots but none of the spots I've shown in my videos are secrets except for maybe one and in that case, if people want to Google Earth it or whatever, credit to them. They deserve to find it.
Complaining about “spot burning” hahhahaha. Is your name sandy hook? Last time I checked that’s a public land and a basic 5 minute search on google would let moron with half a brain know there was fish blitzing last weekend. You’re very ignorant for this comment. A migratory fish covering thousands of miles and your worried about spot burning 🤦🏻♂️ smh that’s sad man.
Nice!! That close.Spook all day!

Good grief another spot burner conspiracy junkie . Pretending there aren’t fish in the ocean on a public sandy beach….. some spot .
