    I love this. So many big tech channels have posted their videos basically hating on HomePod saying it can’t do this and can’t do that, for example none of them have even mentioned that it can set multiple reminders. They need to take a note from you and actually do research.

    To invoke AirPlay on Apple TV with less clicks or swipes, simply hold play/ pause button on the remote.

    Very nice! I just got a homepod and it’s very easy to work it. I wish I could have multiple users for messages, notes, etc. I guess it doesn’t recognize voices yet.

      I also want to know, I don't want to use it as a speaker for the apple tv, I want to wirelessly control it like use said like play pause with voice commands BUT without the sound coming out of the airpod, JUST like a mic for the entertainment center, kind of like the Kinect for Xbox one

    Hello iDB, big fan of all your work. I have a question/problem, when I am trying to play sound from my AppleTV to my HomePod is does not work. No sound, the video stops, and the AppleTV automatically switches back to internal speakers. I have AppleTV 4th generation and it has worked before but now it doesn't. Do you have any suggestions?

    I think this will become a really good device in a few months with all the updates. That said, considering Amazon has been doing all this and more for a while now. I don't get why Apple took so long to make this product.

      Because Apple were trying to get the hardware right. Apple’s main focus was sound quality over smart assistant.

    Hi, I wonder whether it can be used as a traditional speaker on my 2017 MacBook Pro, for example watching videos and listening to the music. Is there any experiencing difference between HomePod and a traditional speaker when used on MacBook Pro? thanks

      Michel Neecke That is the Face ID Camera. The only way you can see it working is by looking at it with a video camera as it is using an infrared light. It is invisbile to the naked eye.

    I tried to reset my HomePod because it stopped working when I changed to a 5K Network. Only one of my paired HomePod wouldn't work. I unpaired it and it will not reset. I get the red circle, but it never resets. Should be an easy software fix. My other HomePods both original and small balls work fine. I took it to the Apple store and they said, "Sorry you need to buy two new ones as the new ones won't pair with the old one you have at home, or you can buy a refurbished one for $279". I'm not real happy with Apple saying, "Throw our product away, we don't fix them. I guess Apple thinks speakers should go obsolete like computers, and be replaced every 4-5 years. I think it's time to change the house back to Bose or possibly Sonos Speakers. Anybody heard if Sonos will repair speakers? I know that Bose will stand behind their products. Anybody want to buy some discounted Apple Speakers and one official "Apple HomePod Paperweight". It flashes a night light of = and = when plugged in, but that's all it will do.

    It must really be depressing and suck when you spend $349 knowing that there's already 20 top big UA-camrs and more everyday that have already done reviews on the Apple homepod or whatever the latest tech Gadget is and you're trying to scrape the bottom of the barrel for views and subs to get back your return on investment. This isn't an attack on your video by the way, just an observation.

    • @iDB
      @iDB  6 років тому +4

      I don't need a return on my investment, I just wanted a HomePod. I'd have bought one regardless of my career here on UA-cam.
      I'm not trying to "scrape the bottom of the barrel" for anything. I do this same exact video for many of Apple's new products, and they've been incredibly popular. We did it last for the AirPods and pulled in hundreds of thousands of views.

    • @FLOODOFSINS
      @FLOODOFSINS 6 років тому

      iDB the only popular airpod video you did that got "hundreds of thousands" (370,525) was on December 30th 2016. There's no reason to BS me. You didn't just happen to want to buy the homepod just for the hell of it. I'm not some stupid tide pod eating millennial lol. Looking at your past videos, it's easy to know why you bought the homepod. So my original comment is right on the mark. The video is fine and all just don't think you're blowing smoke up my ass. I'm sure your normal viewers will be thrilled and convinced with your review. I just happen to know better because I am more aware of what other channels do and how they operate.

    • @richierich8668
      @richierich8668 6 років тому +2

      ROI haha. You should really stop "observing". If knew any better you would know he could easily return this to Apple within 14 days and receive a full refund. Good video by the way!

    • @FLOODOFSINS
      @FLOODOFSINS 6 років тому

      Richie Rich Yes that's the common technique used by shitty UA-camrs and abuse the retail industry for their own selfish Gene and shitty little videos so the rest of us (consumers) are left with broken parts, missing pieces, and open boxes. You're a genius lol. Now run along little boy and find some Tide pods to snack on. After all that's what your generation will be known for lol.

    • @richierich8668
      @richierich8668 6 років тому +2

      So then don’t buy an open box and you won’t be missing any parts. Pretty genius idea 💡

    Can I use the HomePod to play thru my Apple TV wirelessly?

    • @iDB
      @iDB  6 років тому +1

      Yes! That was the last tip in the video. You can actually use any Bluetooth or AirPlay speaker with your Apple TV, including the HomePod. Just swipe down from the top while playing something, go over to Audio, and select your HomePod from the list!

    • @iDB
      @iDB  6 років тому

      Unless you meant play your HomePod, on your Apple TV. In that case, it doesn't much make sense. Your Apple TV can play everything your HomePod can.

    • @KrisPBacon-fv5hm
      @KrisPBacon-fv5hm 6 років тому +3

      Ed Rambeau you can but it doesn’t do it by default. Ever time you start watching Apple TV you have to select the HomePod.
