I like that a lot actually. Didn’t think I would - the button placement is prefect and the beam pattern looked really clean and crisp. Might add this to my wishlist and see if I can catch it on sale. Thanks for sharing!
Worry. I dropped my protac 90x(rechargeable 18650) from about 3ft onto asphalt. It then started working intermittently and then failed completely. The good thing is that their clunky warranty repair system worked and I had it back within 2 weeks. I'll try not to drop it again, but they really need to change the design to a more shockproof one. Other than that? I LOVE THIS LIGHT. a red or moonlight mode would be awesome.
Great review. I have the Streamlight 1L-1AA which is also a dual fuel flashlight with similar specs. I took that flashlight to Africa and it was brighter than the flashlight carried by any of the camp guides. It performed flawlessly. I will be buying one of these right angle flashlights since no decent flashlight collection is complete without a good right angle flashlight.
It doesn't look bad but it would have been nice to have a moonlight level of maybe 1 lumens or 0.5 lumens to have much longer autonomy. I am wondering if an optional elastic band is on sale to use it as a headlamp and extend its use. Thanks for video and beamshot
- quality stuff for sure. They’re a little more expensive than some other brands but you’re paying for reliability. I like both of the lanterns you reviewed
I'm probably going to pick one up, but for me as a EDC it's going to be hard to replace my rechargeable USB streamlight micro. I use a flashlight too much to replace batteries even though the convenience of dual batteries. The micro is 250 lumens too. Great review. Imo.
@@TheBoatPirate So a longer, heavier flashlight, no more AA compatability, and I'd still have to unscrew it to charge. I wasn't interested when it first came out, not interested now. If they made one with the usb port built into the light instead of the battery like they did with the stylus, microstream, and the hl usb, I would consider it an upgrade, but what they released was a huge downgrade and has left me thoroughly disappointed and I'm still bitter about it years later apparently.
Nice 90 degree angled little light that throws some light....Good info....Good stuff.....

- it definitely has some practical purposes. I really would’ve liked a magnetic tailcap but I’m not sure if Streamlight has ever used one on any light

I think I have 5 or 6 right angle lights now. A few of them have headstraps which make them pretty convenient
This tipe of package maybe is not ideal. But u can be sure that nobody have open it before you. For me it is more important
- very true. Good point

Packaging is done to prevent theft.

- I have the Microstream USB as well in Coyote. One of my favorite little lights
What’s that backpack you got there
Great review and light. I just purchased mine too. One question though. My switch rattles alot ( on or off) does yours do the same? Thanks.
- yes. Mine rattles if you shake it. It’s the plastic under the rubber switch
@@Steve-Goff Great, then it's not just mine. Thanks for your help.
Hope these sell well enough for a USB rechargeable version to be made
- the TEN Tap programming is nice and the dual fuel is sweet. Even though the output seems a little low, it’s plenty enough light for most EDC tasks.
It's called a protac 90x, 18650 USB rechargeable.

....more effort to steal a larger package.
