The Japanese anglers have added so much to our sport. Imagine driving around a foreign country and fishing competitively on waters that are nothing like you are used too. They got some great stories to tell the grandchildren some day.
Crazy how the rest of the field is catching fish on crazy realistic looking minnow baits and taku is out there slinging around a cube of plastic and whooping ass. Straight up gangster
Those are some funky looking baits, Nice job Taku
Looks funky but does the job
Y’all break out the coconut marshmallows and bait up your hooks!😂
I grew up in Japan and used to import Bassmaster Magazines reading all the new techniques and such, buying a bunch of American lures in the mid 80s. That's when Japan started to create their own baits, and the founder of Nories, Norio Tanabe, the first ever B.A.S.S. tournament winner as a foreigner, played a big part of it. The legacy goes on. Taku is Nori's disciple and fishing together all the time.
I remember back in the 80s when the Japanese economy was good, some of B.A.S.S. anglers came to Japan for promotion; Rick Clunn, Larry Nixon, Guido Hibdon, Ricky Green, Jack Chancellor, Roland Marten,,, to name a few. So, yes, B.A.S.S. had a huge impact on Japanese anglers and you live in their memories big time. Big respect from Tokyo.
Takumi uses a special shallow water technique using a flip cogill. He calls his technique Bau-Bau.
Homeboy won on something that looks like something my cat would cough up

So happy for him, such a great winner! 🏆
Japanese anglers are very innovative with their lures.
JDM baits for the win!
I had him sign my nories washer crawler at the classic.
Taku time. Can’t wait to see him use them on the smallies up in New York.
Very innovative and kudos to him for figuring out that bream deal! I love the raw emotion of catching that giant too! Good stuff Taku and great footage Bassmaster! Congratulations my man 🏆👊
First time I've heard of a dice lure. Looks interesting, to say the least. Im definitely gonna give it a try.
The ol fuzzy dice!
Taku, where's the trophy it should have been right there with you. Bass you have to redo this...👍
Just wanted somewhere to say what a gem Tommy Sanders is to BASS. Only my second season ever watching and also Jake L.😊
Some of his coanglers were mentioning some bream here and there but nobody seemed to catch onto that like Taku. Pretty cool way to win! 🤠
Magnum dice must be from OSP??
wow that's so cool. japan is amazing
🎲 🏆
Hey gotta hand it to him think ouside the box congrats taku👍
Very cool! Cha ching! There goes my wallet emptying lol
Same. Those dice are 4 for $20. Sold out already on tackle warehouse
@@Phoenix-nl2ut we've all got Scott Martin's tackle addiction
@@Phoenix-nl2ut It's less than $10 in Japan. Megabass 110 is like $12. It's a tackle heaven (I live in Japan).
Temu baits putting in work!!!
JDM Baits. Not Temu.
Don't be a casual.

Don't be a window licking water head...
Congrgats Ito! I love the the Japanese tackle BUT No way that those baits looks like a blue gill, fuck no, 🤣🤣🤣
Can't understand what he was saying . Needs an English cc
I wouldn't even know how to fish those baits
They are innovative, I just don't agree with FFS being used during competition days.
Now take the screens off the boat and do the same thing
O shut up.
Why don't you wade in barefoot with a willow branch you whittled down with a piece of slate ? Hollow out a log with fire and a stone tomahawk and use as a canoe ? How bought deer sinew for string and a bone sharpened on a piece of slate for a hook ?
So ridiculous, flasher depth has been around 50+ years, paper graphs nearly as long. The price will come down in time just like 50 inch TVs.
Save up or go buy you some crickets.
I could out fish most of them from the bank without their screens!
Why ?we see what is happening to the ones that refuse to use it hey keep beating them banks and donating your money 😂
No more screens then no more sight fishing for spawning Bass in 2 ft of water 🤷♂️
There was a big tournament in the South earlier this year that made it no FFS.
Then they showed the eventual winner standing on the tip of his bow and casting to spawning Bass he could see in 2 ft water 😂
What’s worse? 🤡
Sorry but the second one is the dumbest looking bait I’ve ever seen
But they work I think Milliken caught some in Texas on em
No need to apologize. It helped him win 100k and is one of the most popular Japanese baits in the American fishing world currently.
The dice bait has been out for a while now. Never seen it rigged like that before.
That's because you're a casual and know nothing about JDM baits.
@@NineteenEighty8 Wow you're so cool man. Such a bait connoisseur. Sitting on the internet calling everyone a "casual" because they don't know some random jappy bait.

Scoperfest. Not watching
FFS,
Who cares!
Me...!! I love it
If you don't care, why'd you take the time to comment? Sounds like a snowflake to me. LMAO. Sorry ass
