- Taku Ito brought his 2024 Skeeter to Sonar Pros in hopes of getting tricked out and rigged for the Bassmaster Elite Series season. Taku has an interesting boat setup with 6 graphs, 4 live transducers, 4 livescope boxes and a mixture of lithium and AGM batteries. Trent runs through Taku's setup and some of the challenges that come with running a complex system like Ito tries to pull off.

Looks more like an internet Cafe then a bass boat
Dont forget a shocking system too!
Out of curiosity what does some like this cost to do? We all know what graphs and batteries cost but what gets charged to rig and set up a boat like this with all the labor?
Best question of the day
Two or three days of rigging a boat like this is unreal, I just had my new 2024 Skeeter FXR 20 rigged I had all of my own equipment just to install except the sea clear but I’m running a Garmin 12’ live up front with an Hummingbird 15’ and I’m running two 12’ Hummingbird on the dash had batteries installed and it cost me $4300 out the door I’m definitely in the wrong business
@@DLPfishingi just got sick reading that labor charge.
Would you guys mind sharing how you wired the charging system for the dedicated electronics battery even though his main charging system in a power pole charge? I am getting ready to do this myself, and I think I am just going to connect a run and gun charger to it off of my cranking battery but didnt know if there were better options for single plug charging
Curious what the reason is,for using AGMs? I have AGM cranking on mine because I don’t know if lithium is okay for optmax. But he clearly has a four stroke and those are for his electronics anyway.
With the alternator being so powerful on the SHO, it doesn’t quite get along with lithiums and has a better relationship with the AGMs. Yamaha does not recommend running a lithium cranking battery for this reason.
I can tell you that lithiums in the back of a skeeter actually make the boat handle not so well. Skeeters love the weight in the back .You can tell a huge difference in speed and handling when you use them.
@@MichaelScottFishing I agree 100%
@@BartlettOutfittersI’ve been running a miller tech cranking battery on my 2019 250 SHO no issues since early 2020
I’m sorry did I just hear 4 livescopes ?
The BUM live scope boat😂😂😂😂
He ended up putting a nbt battleship up there
To each his own. Seems excessive
I hope they ban all the scopes in bass fishing and force the new generation to track and catch fish with traditional bass techniques. This sport has turned into a joke. Umpteen sonars to fish for bass. Get real
