I really do think this is what seperatesTop Gear from The Grand Tour, Top gear is iconic and TGT is just another (car) show. The limited budget and constant annoyance, resulted in a very creative work environment for the three presenters at the BBC. The cheap car challenges were my favorite segment. Clarkson driving the Peel P50 in the BBC office building was also a great moment.
At one point, Top Gear was the BBC biggest money maker as it was a VERY popular show for the international market. I believe its earlier seasons were one of the most watched shows in Japan.

Several family members of his died and you could visibly see Jeremy age decades in just years from the stress. They were filming for the show and after a long day of working one of the producers brought them sandwiches for dinner and said they can't have a warm meal so Jeremy punched him out of frustration.

George has fully got to be winding us up here, hasn't EVER watched Top Gear growing up in the UK? BBC 2, 3, and Dave all together, so omnipresent during it's long run on TV. Might not have done if he didn't have a lot of TV but still.

Fun fact, camels weee originally Artic creatures as their humps contain fat and not water, they can survive in desert environments though due to their low water requirements as they don't drink all that much hence they were used there as horses needed to drink a lot more to survive in arid environments.

Hi Arthur, I have watched Top Gear since the reboot version started in 2002 and Jeremy especially was always on verge of being sacked by the BBC, and it eventually happened in 2015 when he punched his producer for not giving him a hot meal after filming.
