(1:22) The measuring instructions are confusing. It mentions that earlier balances used a plastic hook to hang the balance. Then they proceed to demonstrate measuring with a balance that has a metal tab! It’s not clear if the old balance should be measured tip to tip…or from the base of the hook/tab. After you round down any x.5 inch long balances, there’s an error potential of 1 inch-which may have happened to us.
