These videos are so freaking satisfying. Could you do an experiment using jetty’s, groins, and breakwaters. Really want to see what happens to the delta formation when you put armoring around the mouth of the river to simulate how engineering the inlets changes the morphology of the delta. Loved the groundwater seepage considerations with this one leading to knock point style degradation. Was that expected or were you expecting rilling of surface flows?
Hello, we didn't have many preconceptions for this. We are aware of the properties of modeling media and suspected it would become saturated and erode by slumping and sliding rather than having much surface runoff.
So thats why a river started forming in my town two years ago thier was this bunch of little sprins after the rain up in the mountains becouse we were in the feet of the mountain now thiers a dried river bed in my town whic during rainy season flows but during summer is dried up
In this setup its too permeable to simulate rainfall runoff, but add-ins could be used to simulate impermeable surfaces or any number of variations to simulate whatever you want.

I kinda see the same effect of breaking off land like what happened this summer during the floods in Germany
Shows you how much ground water there actually is. After the rain even when the surface is dry, underground there is a huge stream of water.

@@emriver It's very interesting. Just wondering if that's the next level of simulations, developing a finer substrate that models full catchments.
