As sad as this was, 2 things I just want to add. First is that even though Superman's heart is exposed, it's still the heart of a kryptonian. There's no way that Lex could've destroyed Clark's heart with brute force alone without any kryptonite. And 2, as sad as it was to see Jordan lose, I think it was a good lesson on how he has to approach his heroics from now on and not just brute force his way through things. With Superman now gone, Jordan has to step up and he can't afford to be as careless as he once was now that Clark's not there to be his safety net anymore.
I don't believe that was Clark's heart for two reasons. No. 1, Lex's ego is far too big for him to simply step on "his greatest trophy". He put that in a box for display. That's Lex to his core. And no. 2, Clark's body and cells do not decay. He can clinically die, but his body will not rot as long as he is in a solar-rich environment. His body also does not lose any resilience or durability even in this state. Meaning his tissue, as well as his organs, remain as indestructible as they would when he's alive. Unless he were to dissect it with a kryptonite scalpel, or step on it with a kryptonite boot, there's no way he would be able to even dent it or damage it in a way that would render it useless (or as useless as fiction can go, of course).
It had to be. Not only would it be pointless for lex and completely out of character for him to destroy something that took doomsday so long to obtain but lex always has backup plan for his plan and another on top. I’m just waiting for the reveal of lex’s plan with the heart. And something I want to add is… HOLY FUCK Michael cudlizt is not only a terrifying lex Luthor and a built one at that but he is ruthless
Right? It shoulda bounced luthor’s foot off being basically invulnerable still cause I clearly wasn’t seeming kryptonite or a red sun lamp around and he’s waaaaaay to prideful to actually to destroy that sweet of souvenir
@@masoncourteoreille6767yeah, Jordan was so emotional that he didn't realized that Superman's heart is also durable and it can't be destroyed by human strength
@@liammaldonado5610 I know because he's half human but he still feels it just not as much. But getting hit with four lasers at once that has to really hurt
It’s sad at what’s going to happen and you can see it coming from a mile away … Luthor is going to turn Jonathan or Jordan against the family. Remember Lois pressed either 1 or 2 lex most definitely either recorded her choice and will play it back to either of the boys that will be the ultimate checkmate
Calling it now. Milton is working with or is Brainiac and the case was a mechanism for swapping the heart with a fake. No way would Brainaic let the heart stay with Luthor.
After watching the episode I don’t believe Lex destroyed his heart. Mighty funny his mom mention that if she had his heart she can save him. (Hear me out) Lex is responsible for creating Doomsday. Lex really just wants a relationship with his daughter. His daughter also needs to live in a safe world and without no checks and balances with Doomsday, Who is going to stop him? So, the man needs a contingency plan. He also didn’t kill neither one of Lois and Clark children. ( The man has some sort of a heart) I believe Lex is going to do the right thing. Hopefully his daughter can talk some sense into him. Why he didn’t take Jordan Hostage? Why is Lex still in Smallville? Lane is the only one that knows where his daughter is ( He got to have something to bargain for, at the very least) Lex set up this whole trap to discourage them & the DOD to stop looking for his heart. LEX is smart..
This is new territory. I've never seen anything like this, in all the DC shows and movies i've witnessed. I've never seen someone destroy a heart like that. Let's see if the Kents, and Smallville can live on without Superman, and Clark Kent.
There was no Kryptonite around when that heart was crushed. I don't think that was a Kryptonian's heart... Also, as someone else pointed out, Jordan isn't supposed to be as vulnerable to Kryptonite so those beams shouldn't have affected him as much as they would Clark. EDIT: On another note, it is GLOBAL news that Superman was dead and many people know that Lex was the one who created Doomsday so why is Lex not back in jail for a crime he definitely HAS committed? Oh and Jordan, being impulsive and not like Clark, could have easily flipped out and just snapped Lex. He would definitely have regretted it but I don't see how an impulsive teen who makes all the other normal teenage mistakes doesn't also make mistakes with his powers. It would have been an interesting storyline that a now injured Lex was blackmailing the Kent family because of Jordan's actions.
Jordan is affected by Kryptonite since he's half Kryptonian, but to a lesser extent and the more he gains Kryptonian powers the more vulnerable he becomes
@@LittleMAC78 it has as far as I am aware as he was affected by red solar radiation as well, when John Henry Irons used the red solar lamps against Superman at that warehouse.

Lex is still a business man but he was locked up for nearly 2 years. You’re only going off the looks and I know the looks are important but his version was made to be very distinct and more hardened.
That wasn’t his heart. Kryptonian flesh isn’t subject to the same properties of decomposition like humans are. His cells still keep their charge I’m sure. They will figure it out.
The heart that Luther steps on is not Clark’s heart as it looks completely different from the one doomsday had in his hand. Has to be a fake heart as Clark will have to come back this season at some point.
I’m thinking it’s a fake heart because he wouldn’t destroy something so valuable like that. Maybe he’ll create Conner Kent and use Clark’s heart to do so.
I mean there is so many ways they could ress clark. Doomsdays heart is like 100% compatible since its bizzaro clark. Jordans heart? Any other kryptonian maybe. Mostl likely jordan or someone will somehow get thea heart from doomsday, use that to ress superman.

Sorry, no Jordan needed to be trained by Batman. Fly around look at everything take out all the bad guys first.

It might be. Kryptonite is everywhere and when you inject it inside the heart, it is vulnerable to death.
Lex is so cruel. That wasn’t even Superman’s heart but just a prop to torture Jordan.
Michael Cudlitz is amazing actor for Lex Luthor. He was made for the role. And he was terrifying.
