Maybe just call AAA and have them tow you to the nearest tire shop. If it's 1am and you have a flat fix kit, put that in your tire, pump it up, then drive home or if you can find an all night tire repair place, drive there. Believe it or not, with my last tire failure, which happened maybe 5 years ago at 2am, a tow truck driver drove me to a 24 hour tire fix it place, so they do exist! I think these are for passenger car tires. You have giant tires like in this video, do yourself a favor and get a beefier inflater.

I just set a calendar reminder to check the battery level of all of the Fanttik stuff that I own every couple of months. Here's my results: The X8 in this video was at 99% The X8 Apex in this video was still at 100% (!) The T8 Apex was still at 100%. Last time I used it and fully charged it was March of 2023. PMSL... What an EPIC fail. 😂😂 21min to 'almost' inflate 1 tire, but manufacturer recommends not to use for more than 7-10min at a time. Ok, 30min to cool down every 7mins, that's almost an hour to inflate 1 tire!? But hang on, the battery died before it was finished... Sorry, I can't stop laughing. 😂

Very likely but never a guarantee they are the same. I did a lot of research on this, and a colleague of mine actually saw it in person. They can have multiple assembly lines putting out very similar products, but the components are often quite different....usually, cheaper versions which is reflected in the price.
I wouldn't recommend these for larger vehicle tires. These are ideal for small car tires. As for larger tires I wouldn't count on it. I'd much rather get one that is beefier for all types of vehicle from small to heavy duty larger tires without having to wait in between to let it cool down.
I wouldn't either. 😎 I inadvertently took the responsibility of seeing what these things could do. One failed, one did not. But it's nice to know which one is for bigger tires in which one is for smaller tires...even if in an emergency to get to where a better fix is available.

@@dontbanmebrodontbanme5403Agreed! That's why I tried to find the limit of what these can do, above and beyond their intended use...so everyone else doesn't have to. 😁
@@dontbanmebrodontbanme5403 that's fair. Also, charging for air should be a crime but the free air days are long gone. Even so, using this to slightly fill up your tires isn't worth the cost.
nice review
Thanks!
Can you tell me or describe to me what Lamin-X sheet do I get?????
Just get a clear universal sheet and cut it to size. Don't forget to use this link for 15% off - bit.ly/laminxdiscount
Where is it made?
Fanttik is located in Pearland, TX but like 99% of everything else, their products are made in China.
X8 Apex it is. I wouldn’t mess around. Good video. Thank you. Having said that. Is there the best here is? Or is there anything else out here in the universe that takes the chicken dinner?
If you have the room, I agree. But I do keep the X8 in my Corvette...just in case. It is small enough to not take up space and I am sure it is good for at least one of those tires. That might make the difference between me getting home and needing roadside assistance or...GASP...a flatbed.🤣
How long does the larger one hold a charge?
Like…sitting in storage?
@@InJasonsGarage yes sir in your car between charges for example
@@dustinthomas6959Fair question, and now that I think about it...it is almost as important as the output capacity itself. After all, a cordless air pump that can blow up the Goodyear blimp is useless if the battery is dead, right? I haven't checked mine in a while. So... I just set a calendar reminder to check the battery level of all of the Fanttik stuff that I own every couple of months. And then I went out and checked...maybe 2 months is too frequent because I hadn't checked on them since around this time last year. Here's my results:
The X8 in this video was at 99%
The X8 Apex in this video was still at 100% (!)
The T8 Apex was still at 100%. Last time I used it and fully charged it was March of 2023. If you didn't see it...here's the video on that: ua-cam.com/video/g_GS-SnIEcw/v-deo.htmlsi=R2buUckBcViCWUMA
I use the V8 Mate Cordless Car Vacuum (ua-cam.com/video/u6uFs8P5hL8/v-deo.htmlsi=zNkfwmuq8AKM7UbL) and the The NEX L1 Pro power screwdriver (ua-cam.com/video/XQqNoVpFFgQ/v-deo.htmlsi=FnBcEytUTrQfJiqz) a couple times a week or more...so I keep charging those after each use.
So far, so good.
Thank you. Bought 4 for gifts based on your review and responses. Merry Christmas
@@dustinthomas6959Glad I could help!
would this be good for a technician/mechanic? tired of connecting air hoses haha
I don't think so unless you use it every once in a while, otherwise I don't think that it suitable for professional use.
Is there a 300-350 psi Electric Pump?
Gosh, I wouldn't think so...not rechargeable anyway.
That battery was new of course its gonna start right away even if you discharged it
how loud are they?
Good question, I thought I mentioned it but I might have forgotten. They aren't quiet, that is for sure. I think they are just as loud as any other portable air compressor.
@@InJasonsGarage I've found it hard to find info on noise. But it appears that they're all either loud or louder
@@kenmasters2025 Haha...that is pretty much the case. I don't think I have ever heard of an air compressor that wasn't noisy.
I bought the larger unit over the weekend and tested on my football & soccer ball. I was surprised it was not as loud as expected. Unfortunately I was not able to measure the sound db.
They are pretty quiet, I have the apex and it's surprisingly easy to talk next to it
What did you air down to?
5psi - see the @10:00 mark.
PMSL... What an EPIC fail. 😂😂
21min to 'almost' inflate 1 tire, but manufacturer recommends not to use for more than 7-10min at a time. Ok, 30min to cool down every 7mins, that's almost an hour to inflate 1 tire!? But hang on, the battery died before it was finished...
Sorry, I can't stop laughing. 😂
LOL...when you are done laughing, consider that it was not designed to inflate a tire that big. I was just seeing where the limit is. So...I found it. Hahahahaha. 🤣
Did the promo code expire
I don't think so. It is only good for buying directly on Fanttik's web site, which you may not be able to currently do as all purchase options are being directed to Amazon for Prime Day sales. It should still work when you can buy directly from Fanttik. But...right now there's some KILLER deals for Fanttik stuff on Amazon! geni.us/Fanttik - geni.us/fanttikx8apex
@@InJasonsGarage Thank you for your video. Your promo code isn't currently valid on Fanttik's website.
same unbranded models from the same factory are 1/9th the price from non jungle websites lol
This company scammed me! Ordered the jumpers and tire inflator set and only received the jumpers. Tried to contact them nothing they gave me half my order and never fixed it. I would be aware ordering from them.
That's not cool. Did you try to call their number? 347-307-8957
Hi Jason, i have sent you an email about a product sponsor and was wondering if you would be interested !
You say every car needs a jump starter. Not true - you don't need one for an electric car.
Ha! That is partially true...for an electric car you need a REALLY BIG jump starter! 😂
You got that right Marty Mcfly.
Try it on a monster truck, this is such a bad test.
I don't have a monster truck, and I am willing to bet that a large percentage of the people who watch this video don't have one. If by some strange chance they do, they would be smart enough to know that something like this is not designed for a monster truck. What makes you think it was?
21 minutes !? Not even to fill ONE tire up ? Hopefully it will do better with a bicycle tire....LOL
I am sure it will. It wasn't designed to fill a tire that big, but I wanted to see how far it could go.
Toyota Priuses do not have 14 inch tires 😂
😄
Be easier to just buy the gooloo for 49 bucks
In the grand scheme of things, that is not very good air pump
15 minutes for only 30 lbs. That's horrible
As I like to learn from you guys as much as you learn from me...do you know of a tire pump that is portable and rechargeable that performs better and has better features (at least on paper)? I'd love to know your suggestions.
@@InJasonsGarage I was more thinking about the air pump i use now, yes it is corded but it goes faster.
@@mikecampingforfun5226 Not quite an apples to apples comparison. I have a Corvette, yes it has a 7.0 liter V8 but it goes faster than my 2.7 liter I4 in my truck. 😆😆
I can also say the same about my VIAIR compressor that plugs into my 12v outlet compared to the cordless, rechargeable versions in this video.
