Cannot believe what people are paying for that junk. These cars will never be restored properly because no one who knows what they are doing would EVER pay that much!
Most of the cars so far were fixable the stuff at the end is was a real surprise to me part 3 is coming just have not had time to finish yet. Thanks for watching.
yup i have spent about 3k on parts for my 79, mostly interior stuff, not including rebuilding a 1970 400 and parts i got for basically free from other deals and the paint/primer, the upholstery front and back is 1800 US i paid 2k CAD for the car, the one that sold for 1500 (so close to 2k CAD) was in far worse shape than mine and mine came with a TH350 no rust on the exterior total so far is like 10k CAD and i didnt even need any body panels
I had a maroon 73 with a formula hood (wasn't a real formula) that looked just like the one in the video. I bought it in AZ in 2003 or 04 and brought it to NH. I was forced to sell it in 2012 (divorce) for $2500 with a rust-free TA hood and fenders. If I had more time to sell it, I should have got way more $$...
I had one in the 80's, loved everything about it but 4.9L and 210hp it was like a tank off the line. Wish I still had it with a new engine and the HP it deserved.
I an 80 pace car, have tried a few times to get an 81 Nascar pace as well... Unfortunately, a deal could never be made. I even tried to stop a guy from parting one out to no avail about 10 years ago. The prices on the 80 & 81 pace cars were not bad. The 76 If it was an SE 50th car... Restored it's worth quite a bit.
When will you ever see them offered up,it's ha rd to find anything anymore period...family's that inherent collections are crushing for money so hats off to selling whole cars
Has anybody there heard of Barrett-Jackson? How about Mecum auctions? How about Craigslist and marketplace? Iowa is an acronym. For somebody out wandering around. Figure out what the eye means. That's for my three dozen friends down in Iowa. We have fun with it. But seriously these prices are ridiculous. Now I know she's a very good auctioneer I gave her all the credit. She also knows quite a bit about cattle. Well I've been your first two parts. Back-in-the-day used to build mid-70s Firebirds and Camaros principally Camaros. If anybody out there got that kind of money in their pocket to burn I've got three bodies with most of the interior and what-have-you. They've only been off the road since the mid-eighties. I got firebird had a 455 in it I'll check see if it's got an X and the vin or not. It was a very fast powerful car and could not get insurance nothing wrong with it. Sell it piece by piece back in today I got twice out of it then compared to what I would have gotten if I sold it complete. But it does have the tub and the front train section. Anthon sitting around since the mid-eighties as well. Mr Bob who owns he's car down there an Iowa himself quite a nice collection!
First car, auctioneer said prettier than $4k. She should by it for $20,000 then. 🙄. Solid car, but still needs a full restoration and its a low HP turbo.
Pretty sure I met Bob at a Trans Am show in 2004 in Fort Walton Beach. He was driving a 1994 25th Anniversary 6 speed, non t-top car. He told me he had about 80 Trans Ams at the time, including two '69 Trans Ams and a clone '69 Trans Am convertible. I lost touch with him over the years and never made it up to see his collection, if he is the same collector from Iowa whom I met that weekend.
literally the worst auction company I have ever seen in 30 yrs of auctions. refused to open trunks or tell you what had keys. gold 4speed had a 3k carb stolen off of fromt seat after sold to an online bidder, did not even lock the doors. would not let them sell my old socks!!
Well that sucks, what kind of auction is these that they set a starting price. And many of those camaros are cheaper in Texas and in better condition. Even those that are in pieces.
Wow even for restoration these cars were junk And guys paid way tooooo much Guaranteed buyer’s remorse on most of these cars The ole rare car gimmick No titles Lots of rust, and a rude auctioneer at that
Big old Chihuahua with a Walker YIP (21k) yap ( 24k ) YARP (28k) this is what I hate about auctions people acting like money is unlimited sometimes I wonder if they just get in their car and drive away without paying
Most of the big money was online from out of state. I think is like a contract if you sign bid card and don't pay you will find your self in court. And the people paying those prices I'm sure they want what they bid on.
lol he said that the speed has increased over time! But thought it was funny enough to tie into the other auctioneer get late to the auction the day before. Thanks for watching.
I didn't know y'all knew how to spell? 🤣🤣 I seriously I sent this link over to a friend of mine in North Carolina. He jokingly replied that here is glad I showed him the correct way to spell it cuz all these years has been spelling the same way this fella misspelt it. 🤣🤣 But he did cover the auction well
@@rippingburnouts Yea, it was on the text description @05:16 & 06:24 in the video for a couple of the cars that sold to CarOlina 🤪. I'm just jealous I don't have the cash to restore any of those T/As.
To the NORTH CAROLINA residents my apologies for the miss spell. Thanks for watching!

Very strong money for them cars !
I hope they realize how much money you still have to put in them !
Repair parts add up fast! And most of them need a lot of work.
The only good thing is these cars have titles...a lot of barn finds don't have titles...but that gold ta went for too much 😅

I remember buying these for $800
Thanks for taking us along. Dig the fruit shots. Good to know market pricing on firebirds. Great content.
Thanks for watching!
A few decent ones and a lot of junk. Crazy money.
Excellent once again!!!
Thanks again!
I would like to see what those who buy do? Refurbishing for themselves or for resale? It will be an interesting topic
I really like your format. nice job. I enjoyed watching your auction coverage
I love the 73' formula hood. Thanks for sharing.

If my sister had balls she would be my brother. 👍👍
Mind-blown🤯
Nice video buddy it’s amazing how much more the Pontiac’s bring over the same year camaros. The Bandit really did help these cars I guess!
Was advertised toward the Pontiac crowd so they got top dollar for them! Thank for watching!
I like the way you edited it. Very interesting, I forgot about this auction of the horde!
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching!
Un fuckin believable.
OMG I wanted the lot 14 white pace car!! $24,000! jeez.
I had one in the 80's, loved everything about it but 4.9L and 210hp it was like a tank off the line. Wish I still had it with a new engine and the HP it deserved.
That's some pretty expensive rust
All right all right, i subbed

That answers my question from last vid. Thanks!

I didn't know that I heard that someone stole a shifter knob but wow that sucks to hear! That was the first one of their auctions I've gone to.
Well that sucks, what kind of auction is these that they set a starting price. And many of those camaros are cheaper in Texas and in better condition. Even those that are in pieces.
when restoring do you charge yourself 200 per hour for labor plus matierial
Only if I can clam it as a write off for business expense.
Way to much money more then they are worth they need a lot of body work and that auctioneer lady does not know what she is doing
She gets payed on commission the buyer is in charge of inspection.
You are wrong. Go to school. Take some microeconomics. Then comment on value.

The ole rare car gimmick
No titles

120mph merging onto I-90 via an on ramp... Ha ha. No way that happened. Will that car even reach 120mph?

I was thinking 120 was on the slow side things parrot faster than that car whatever go and that shorter distance though
The auctioneer was late because he got picked up for speeding on his way to the auction. @shawnstafford7809
Whenever you say Oof…. Don’t bid on that car
“C’Mon Man!”🤮 It’s “NORTH CAROLINA”…Not North “Caralina!!” FJB / LGB!! 🤣 🇺🇸

I have 2 Trans Am for sale
