A very good song! I like the idea that zombie apocalypse could be a metaphor for social anxiety/agoraphobia. I feel like I haven't seen that connection before. The hopefulness at the end after she got bit because she realizes she's 'changing' is a really interesting way to think about healing.
That's SUCH a cool thing to point out, I didn't consider that at first but it makes so much sense. (Video spoilers) Everything outside is really scary and horrifying and everyone is threatening, so she stays inside and beats the zombies after her to death before anythint else. And then when she finds herself getting along with one that makes her "feel at ease" enough to drop her guard and weapon (after he bonds with her by doing something she likes to do!) he bites her, bringing her out of the cabin and making her a zombie, too.
i interpret her getting bit as her starting to fit in and find her place among other ppl, yknow bc she turns into a zombie like the others lol but i do agree that this is really an interesting metaphor, and it honestly makes sense
actually i hate that this is all i could think of to say in this comment section so i'm gonna give an entirely unasked for reading on this song's meaning 👍🏻 to me this really feels like what goes through your mind just before and after a fallout or breakup with a friend or someone else close to you. the inability to recognize the inevitable split approaching despite it clearly approaching, the moment everything goes wrong, the initial rush of trying to point fingers to everyone around you, the panic overwhelming you as you realize that maybe *you* were the problem the whole time, still trying to find fault in others even after finding it in yourself because your own faults are too painful to bear, and ultimately the resigned acceptance that things will never be the same again regardless of who is to blame despite the kind of playful and upbeat tune, the song gives me the same deep feelings of bitterness, regret, longing, and resignation that come with a bitter break. i'm probably reading too much into it but i would rather read too much into things than too little lol
This is what social anxiety feels like to me. I lock myself away from the world as though I'm in an apocalypse and find comfort in the small things I can find indoors. It's a very boring and unfulfilling life, but I'd take boring over being eaten alive (or at least the fear of talking to people and messing up and being absolutely humiliated)
Took me a few to decipher the meaning. It’s a song about mixed signals; when a person is expressing interest in someone, but simultaneously expressing a lack of interest. For example, if you meet someone at a party and hit off, and start texting back and forth, but they never ask you on a date or deflect when you mention spending time together in person. In this song Teto is struggling to detect the interest’s signals and tries to ignore or question them. For example, at 2:52 , when the zombie bites teto, it meant the mixed signal. And it was left as a scar to Teto because she thought things would work out well if she opened up, hence the zombie opened up. Teto questions her future and if the relationship will work out.
i love how her voice gets high pitched at 2:54 when she gets bitten as if she was screaming i really liked the story. she fights against zombies but ends up turning into one of them in the end. it reminds me of a recent experience i've had, tho i'm not gonna say what it is since it's a private information.
the foreshadowing at 1:00 is insane her right hand is covered in zombie blood which is the same arm she gets bitten on later. I love this song and the music video

My interpretation of this song is that its about a girl who is very, very shy. She can't/refuses to interact with others, avoiding them like the plague. But eventually, one enters her bubble, maybe through a shared interest? And that is when Teto leaves her shell, represented by becoming a zombie, but now being able to hang out with others instead of being on her lonesome.

I LOVE the music video. I might be overanalyzing a silly zombie story, but i want to. To me it's someone closing themselves off from the world and people. Even though everyone is fighting to reach out and help she tries to sabotage it. In a moment of vulnerability she opens up and gets BITTEN, but maybe its better to have the risk of being hurt instead of pure isolation. Everyone else looks sick and strange for being social and vulnerable, but maybe its you (teto) who was actually sick. GET BITTEN!

Wow this song is a really good metaphor. The lyrics really capture the feeling of realizing that you’re gay or trans, then looking back and seeing all the signs in the past, and learning to love yourself in the midst of your old identity falling apart around you. The zombie PV also sells that the singer has been actively suppressing the feelings for a long time, literally beating back the thoughts every night. Or maybe I’m looking too much into it and it’s just a funny little zombie song 😂. Either way, this is a jam that I’m going to listen to for a while, and you should be proud.

This kinda reminds me of the first episode of Midnight Gospel. Both have their characters surviving a zombie apocalypse only to get infected at the end and realize being a zombie is nice

My interpretation of this song is that its about a girl who is very, very shy. She can't/refuses to interact with others, avoiding them like the plague. I LOVE the music video. I might be overanalyzing a silly zombie story, but i want to. To me it's someone closing themselves off from the world and people. Even though everyone is fighting to reach out and help she tries to sabotage it. In a moment of vulnerability she opens up and gets BITTEN, but maybe its better to have the risk of being hurt instead of pure isolation. Everyone else looks sick and strange for being social and vulnerable, but maybe its you (teto) who was actually sick. GET BITTEN!

Wow this song is a really good metaphor. The lyrics really capture the feeling of realizing that you’re gay or trans, then looking back and seeing all the signs in the past, and learning to love yourself in the midst of your old identity falling apart around you. The zombie PV also sells that the singer has been actively suppressing the feelings for a long time, literally beating back the thoughts every night.
Or maybe I’m looking too much into it and it’s just a funny little zombie song 😂. Either way, this is a jam that I’m going to listen to for a while, and you should be proud.
