I have already DFP-34X-2C2 from ODI works great with Mikrotik rb5009 i want to use it with banana pi

If you add sfp+ cages why not make them 10Gbe. That would make much more sense.
They aren't SFP+ they are just SFP, which is 2.5GbE instead of max 14GbE of SFP+
So in otherwords, cost.
It would be great if the memory can choose 4G and 4 ports 2.5G

does the R3 have support for Linux? such as a server side Linux distribution like centOS, rocky or Ubuntu Server
Its an ARM based processor. Any distro that has been compiled for ARMv8 will work.
