Usually I'm not big into reunion tours and old bands getting back together , but something about this is different, it is special. They sound amazing honestly and I can tell they really prepared for this , all of them. The Spirit of Pantera is alive and well. They should write music together, they are really tight

It kills me that people can say they didn't expect it to be this good. Like him or not, Zakk is not a hack, second rate guitar player. And he would never do Dime the injustice of going out there sounding like shit. Same goes for Charlie. This is exactly what I expected, and it's great

@Tasmanaut I am serious. To the average listener it sounding just fine. I play guitar, not great...recreational. What do you mean the riffing isn't tight? Maybe there's micro nuances that aren't there, but I think the same thing could be said if the roles were reversed. One thing I feel sure of, is that Dime isn't up there looking down his nose thinking that Zakk isn't doing him justice. Dime's always been a fan first and almost never a critic.

I mean its sort of like comparing Cliff Burton to Rob. Cliff showed metallica how to play and made them famous at the same time. then he was taken from all of us. Rob trujillo gets most of what cliff played right but not all of it because he isnt cliff. Its as simple as that. If you take over for the master, you have to write your own song in the end. thats what Jason and then Rob have done and it is also what zakk will have to do. Ive heard many times over the years that Darrell was once asked to join metallica but he would not do it without Vinnie. there goes more credit to the guitar master.

I went to their concert in São Paulo and it was great. Im born in 2003 so thats the closest thing i will see about what was Pantera one day. RIP the brothers.
When i was 15 a kid at my school gave me a cd, he said it was too heavy. It said 101 proof live on it. That’s the day I fell in love with all things metal. Every kind of metal. Thank you Pantera. I hope I can finally see them.
My first heavy metal concert was Pantera, Satyricon and Powerman 5000 in Newport South Wales in 2000. It was my 18th birthday present and it was an incredible concert. I’ve seen Phil live since then with Down and the illegals but if they bring this lineup to the U.K. then I’ll definitely make an effort to go to see them.

getting old sucks just can't head bang like I used to but i do have great memories from the 90s when I could 😌 damn I miss them pantera and slayer / megadeth/ metallica and so many other concerts from back then .
I only wish that Zakk played the leads the way they were meant to be all the way through. I love his style, since it similar to Dime's, but Zakk is based more in a bluesy tone where Dime was Texas rock, so you miss the nuances of that Texas tone.
People act like their surprised at how well Zak Wylde plays guitar here..All you have to do is listen to Ozzy Osbourne music and you will hear just how good Zak is. He was Ozzy's lead guitar player for years. Then Zak developed his own band called Black Label Society...
The friendships that the Abbott brothers had with these 4 guys would tell me that they're totally ok with this line-up. There's no way in hell they would not approve of their legacy moving forward

Yep, the heaviest riff in metal loses its edge when you take away all of the tension building up to it and one of the greatest metal solos ever.
