You presume that every human is an uncontrollable lush and needs a prison warden (LCBO) to keep him/her in line. Obviously you're concerned about your own self-control. You're afraid that if that prison warden is fired, then you'll immediately fall off the wavon again.
@@dorismcharg4134 Or I could be looking at actual factual evidence that supports my argument. Increasing the access to alcohol doesn't benefit anything but convenience. Let's not ignore everything else that comes with it. You're an ignorant human being if you can't see the bad with the good.
@@dorismcharg4134 I'm not presuming anything. I am looking at the facts. The only benefit here is convenience. I think it's fairly obvious that the downsides outweigh the upsides. You have to be fairly ignorant to assume that there are no consequences that accompany this decision. Maybe, just maybe you should change your schedule to support your drinking habits.

He's somebody who the monopoly media obviously considers him significant because they gave his dorky face some publicity. His opinion is more worthy than ours apparently.
Bye bye LCBO! And good riddance! Glorified Circle K employees. Not to slight Circle K employees whatsoever, they work very hard and deserve more respect, recognition, and appreciation for everything they do. But, LCBO workers….??? What makes them different? Circle K asks for I.D for tobacco products and lottery tickets- what makes them so special?
Not to slight Circle K employees whatsoever, they work long hours and put up with a lot of crap at their jobs and certainly deserve respect, appreciation, and better pay. LCBO workers are expected to have extensive health and safety training on equipment that can lift 2000+lbs pallets stacked with cases of glass bottles over 15 feet in the air depending on the size of their backroom. Some of these employees lift and move over 500 of those cases by hand in a single day. Not one of them thinks a Circle K or grocery store employee deserves less pay than them, they just went for the job that offered more money. Capitalism, right? And the price of the bottles on the shelf is not determined by what the employees' hourly rate is. Even though you look like a bot account I thought I would help address your ignorant comment to help people who may want to actually educate themselves. By the way, these Taxpayer Federation guys are a joke and CP24 is a sorry excuse for journalism.
Really? A 10 minute pallet jack training session? 15 feet high…? What truck delivers 15 foot pallets? Glass. Glass? What an important and valuable job. It’s just to ridiculous to go further. You never answered my question….. what makes LCBO so special and valuable to society more so as a grocery cashier, a stock person replenishing shelves, or a front line warehouse employee?
@@GoatOfGandhi and one more thing- do you have a problem with Capitalism? If so, move to a non capitalist country or society and see how far you’d get mate! Cheers! 🥂
@drcarlsberg3658 The pallets aren't 15 feet high, the racking in the warehouse where the pallets are stored is. You're not going to get them up there with a pump jack. Glass! That's right! You realize glass containers full of liquid are heavier and more dangerous to handle, right? Your question isn't worth answering because it comes from a misanthropic perspective. You should be asking why other front line workers don't get paid the same as an LCBO employee when apparently all of them are "essential" - or at least they are when the government sees fit to call them as such. LCBO employees shouldn't be exceptional in their field in terms of pay or benefits. But they shouldn't make less, everyone else should make more. They hardly make a living wage in Toronto at the top of their pay scale which most of their staff haven't even reached. If you want to see where the cuts should be made, check out the Sunshine list and see what their bloated and redundant upper management is earning.
@drcarlsberg3658 Not what I was saying at all, my compatriot. Just pointing out that if someone can make more money for the same kind of work, of course they are going to try and get that job and keep it. Just like I will try to find the same goods for a lower price. You won't see me waving any red flags except for the one with the maple leaf on it! I hope you enjoy your summer!
Drinking alcohol can have numerous negative effects on your health. Here are some of the key cons:
Liver Damage: Prolonged alcohol consumption can lead to liver diseases such as fatty liver, hepatitis, and cirrhosis.
Addiction: Alcohol is addictive and can lead to alcoholism, which is characterized by a strong craving for alcohol, loss of control over drinking, and withdrawal symptoms.
Brain Damage: Alcohol can impair brain function, affecting memory, coordination, and judgment. Long-term use can lead to permanent brain damage and cognitive decline.
Heart Problems: Excessive drinking can cause high blood pressure, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias, and an increased risk of stroke.
Digestive Issues: Alcohol can cause inflammation of the stomach lining (gastritis), pancreatitis, and an increased risk of stomach and esophageal cancers.
Immune System Suppression: Alcohol weakens the immune system, making the body more susceptible to infections and diseases.
Mental Health Issues: Alcohol can contribute to depression, anxiety, and other mental health disorders. It can also exacerbate existing mental health conditions.
Weight Gain: Alcohol is high in calories and can contribute to weight gain and obesity.
Sleep Disturbances: While alcohol can make you feel sleepy, it disrupts the sleep cycle, leading to poor sleep quality and fatigue.
Accidents and Injuries: Alcohol impairs coordination and judgment, increasing the risk of accidents, injuries, and risky behaviors.
Social and Legal Problems: Excessive drinking can lead to problems at work, strained relationships, legal issues (such as DUIs), and financial problems.
These effects can vary depending on the amount of alcohol consumed, the frequency of consumption, and individual factors such as age, gender, and overall health.
