Beautiful knitting, very classy items, you and your daughter will look amazing. Just subscribed, loved your vlog you are lovely to listen to.looking forward to seeing what you’re going to be making this year .❤️x
Your knitted things are so wonderful and appreciate letting us know the patterns and yarns used. Your daughters gold sweater is a work of art !, so pretty. I have Ann Budds book and going to look up the cardigan pattern.
Thank you! I used to crochet a lot but once I got the hang of knitting, it took over. If I hadn't discovered continental style knitting, I would still be crocheting or doing something else! I hope you have the opportunity to learn, go at your own pace and do what's comfortable for you.
@@stringthingsbymel thank you for saying going at my own pace! I put to much pressure on myself to hurry and learn. I love crochet and I'm sure I'll love knitting!!
LOVE the sweaters. Terrific job. what is the name of the book you held up Top Down knitting? I am scrolling through again but cannot find it in the video
Thank you! "The Knitter's Handy Book of Top-down Sweaters" by Ann Budd. Make sure it's the Top-down version as she has a book for bottom-up sweaters too.
youre increadubly tallented! how do you stay motivated on larger peices? I'm relatively new to anything more complecated than a scarf and I'm really struggling with that in particular.
Thank you! I really love knitting but I do get into ruts. If I get bored or uninterested in a piece I work on something for my daughter or vice versa. I do like having two projects at a time for this reason. Generally, I'm very motivated to have the finished item because I want to wear it, or in the case of my daughter, I need to finish it before she grows too much haha. I also give myself deadlines for each item to keep me on track. Setting smaller goals/deadlines along the way help too; ie. This week I want to knit 2", a sleeve, etc. Step back/take a break from the project and think about why you're not motivated (at this time). I'm sure you'll come up with your own reasons to keep knitting or maybe that project just isn't the one? That's okay too. Best of luck!
You’re knits are beautiful and it was neat to see someone local for a change:)
Thank you! 😊
Happy to hear I have a local viewer. Thanks so much for watching!
Gorgeous , such intricate pieces ❤. It would take me my whole life to knit that tan cabled sweater. You’re very talented. I’m in awe !
Thank you so much! The cable sweater did take a long time but it was an enjoyable process and I'm so proud of my work.

Thank you! I definitely haven't used the book enough, but I'm hoping to utilize it more often this year.
