Yeah Jerra, you asked about any place that might be selling seed potatoes this time of year Wood Prairie Family Farms sells and ships seed potatoes all year. They have common potatoes and they have some different potatoes like possibly a purple skin potato and a purple flesh potato. Check them out when you get a chance.
For seed potato for southern folks (im in south Fla.)...get the potato inspiration (I get the celebration that has Purple, red and yellow) from Publix. They are often on bogo...so I eat one bag and plant the other! Just popped mine in the ground.
Love your channel! I’m also in Florida. I have a Barbados cherry tree being delivered by Montura Gardens on Saturday. I’m so excited. I also have - orange, fig, lemon, lime, guava and mango.
You are so informative. Keep up the great work! I learn so much that I haven’t with other presenters. I love the information about Latin American plants. Can you do more on this theme?
@@JerrasGarden Take your time. Don’t rush your projects. I’m retired and can wait patiently. Your work is so good and organized it is worth the wait. 🙂

@@JerrasGarden I ran out and planted a little lasagna garden. This morning, I realized it's probably right in the way where some workmen are going to have to trample around, removing a tree. :(
I really enjoyed your video I just subscribed. Very cool T-shirt. I’m in Portland Oregon zone 8B I just planted a bunch of carrots, lettuce, kale, and some radishes. I also just made my first garden music video so feeling pretty good about that. Hope all is well and have a great day.
Hello Jerra, I’m grateful someone shared your link. I ‘m a beginner gardener and I have a Yellow Peruvian ginger plant Does the ginger have to harvested. All at same time or can I break off pieces and how do I know it’s ready to harvest. I’m in Zone 10b. Thank you
Hello and welcome to my channel! You can harvest pieces of ginger off the rhizome network under the soil as needed. You don't need to harvest the whole thing at once. Just break a piece off when you need some.
I'm in Houston and the recent cooler temps has my nectarines blooming again! I also have watermelons that are about 3 inches(fruit). Will they mature before frost?
I have nectarine and peach trees too. The cold weather triggered a "false winter" so they are confused and think its spring, thus why they are flowering. However, don't expect any fruit from this. They will flower again at the correct time in spring. The watermelons might mature before your first frost, just depends on the size of the cultivar and how early maturing it is.
I would go ahead and plant them in the green house now. I'm sure its a little chilly outside in your area so put them in a warm greenhouse to begin with so they take off from the start. Nice you have a green house!

I’m most excited about growing a variety of carrots and golden beets. Will also grow lots of leafy greens peas and cilantro.
I'm growing golden beets for the first time to see how the flavor compares to regular beets. I heard the golden is sweeter.
@@JerrasGarden they are. I grew them last spring for the first time and they are very different from red. Great roasted in the oven.
Very good video. Thanks.

My first frost is Nov. 9th. Can i still plant cucumbers this weekend and then put them in an outdoor greenhouse after the frost date? Zone 8a?

Can we do turnips and/or collard greens?
Yes! Both can be grown right now if your in the South USA zones 8 and up.
Thank you I am in 8a. This will be my first time planting. 💛
I am in the Tampa area and am looking for strawberries!
The Plant City area should have some sellers since they grow a ton of strawberries over there. Check with Parksdale Market.
Maybe call Parksdale produce in Plant City and ask them. The farmers are planting now.
