- I've compiled some of the most common questions that I get from people interested in or just starting out running a business at markets and events! Here are my best tips from 6+ years experience running both my art business (Lucky Sprout Studio) and my food business (South Shore Sea Salt). I currently run an art booth at a weekly farmers' market but have done trade shows, random pop-ups, brewery events, street markets, festivals, you name it! I love it so much and am grateful that I've designed my business in a way that lets me focus on my creative work full-time.

Hello Rebecca. Not to long ago I created two display the way you explained it in your video. I went and test it at a local flea market The wind test it too! LoL. Like you said it’s good to have a couple sample of your products for people to touch, feel and appreciate the product. It is a good conversation starter too ( in my case greeting cards from my photographs). I continued watching your videos and more ideas came up. I’m now in the note pad design and production. Again I’m following your valued instructions. Im using Affinity Designer to create shapes and my photographs for background. In one word, thanks !

Hi Rebecca! I just did my first art market recently and this is great advice! I think what I am still struggling with is display since I sell flat items (greeting cards, art prints, etc). I would love a video on your display tips! Also anything about starting a youtube for your business I have been thinking about it.... haha thanks!
Thanks so much for watching! :) and congrats on doing your first market! I totally understand, as those are the same kinds of items I sell and they can be difficult. I am working on a vid about a DIY display stand and also another on general display recommendations so those should be out in the next week or so! I don't know if I feel qualified to give tips on youtube for business yet since I've only been at this for a couple months but once I pull together enough actual advice I definitely will do that too! I really appreciate the suggestions, thank you 🥰
Hey Rebecca! Great video thank you so much for the advice, it’s so helpful! Was wondering if you would be willing to do another video that might go more in depth about pricing and how difficult that can be? Between time and trying to decide how much glitter or the value of clumps of faux moss I used on a certain piece, it is nearly impossible! I have dyscalculia as well and it breaks my brain in the worst way 😂😑
