This is the only real MacGyver. The actor, the character, and all the charisma. The reboot one is not only inferior in everything, but the new MacGyver is also arrogant, aggressive and cocky. Nowhere near as good as this one that is kind, humble and friendly.

Then we get to the upbeat positive part which sorta describes the happy and active nature of A. McGyver who gets sent to these jobs and into the harms way, but he solves it, comes out as a winner... but damn, was it close. Hah! I get chills just commenting the tune.

I haven't watched Season 7 of MacGyver yet (I'm in Season 5 now), but seeing the Season 7 intro made me say "That's the end of a legendary era in television history." This show is an unforgettable masterpiece. Richard Dean Anderson and Dana Elcar were perfection when they were cast as Mac and Pete respectively.
My dad said that when he was in middle school down the street from his house they were filming a episode. Apparently his house and car made it into the episode.
I find it interesting that in season 5, they re-recorded some of the shots show in season 1 and 2, like him against the wood door, and just making it out of the gate. Even him resting against the plane.

You've missed some out. Off the top of my head there is the opening from "The Pilot". MacGyver is overlaid on the exploding labratory. There is also a different opening to "The Pilot". Here, you get to see the whole parachute jump. "Lost Love" parts 1 & 2 music is a bit more classical. "The Secret Of The Parker House" includes a clip from "Hell Week" with the trigger sprays to see if there is a lazer beam. It also include a longer version of of the scene from "Back From The Dead" where Mac drops holding onto a net and then knocks over someone. You also have a more funky short version of the theme on the episode "The Challengers"
for me the first is the best ! but I noticed from saison 2 and the others, in second half of the music like in 2:00 the violin is more louder and it gives better feeling with the music !

Interesting how the drums get bigger in the later versions, and how they reshot some of the older iconic clips with modern MacGyver for season 5+.
Not only the drums.... the intros of the later sessions have much less synthesizer sounds in there, it's more orchestral.
