3 goals and an assist for Lee Evans. Really neat finishes as well. Hope to see him given another Wales chance one day. Wes Burns and Gwion Edwards ( now with Wigan ) should be looked at as well
People calling for him to go was crazy all the changes were going to take time. I’m not getting carried away with one result but changing so early would probably have written the season off new manager new tactics and probably new players wanted.Cook said Morsy would make a huge difference and he certainly did last night. Would like to see a change in formation occasionally though especially when things aren’t quite going our way.
@@nickmullerITFC78 but there lies the current issue. We played like that because they were pretty bad opposition, it's not like we like that against Lincoln or Bolton.
it's been at least a couple of years since I consider Town producing what you call a "statement" performance. Well, this was one. As always the challenge will be to back it up the next match, and so on. If this is the standard of play they're capable of, especially at home, then there is a much more realistic chance of getting out of this league - and to think of the situation a couple of weeks ago when it seemed heading in the opposite direction. More twists and turns to come surely, but still ... Celina - great to see him back, and back at the kind of influential level he had the last time, he was outstanding today.
Yes Doncaster were poor but putting 6 past any team in your league in still great. Sure that volley from Burns would have beaten the keeper and he deserved a goal thought the defender did well to carry on. Morsy really allowed Evans to play with freedom and he looked a different player. When the third goal went in the whole team seemed to relax. Liked the fact Cook wasn’t getting carried away, but momentum is growing.
Great game and it does look like we are now playing more together as a team. Was Morsy the final piece of the puzzle that we needed? Really seemed to help the team work together last night. Great performances all round from Vaz to Bonne, even the subs when they came on kept up the tempo. We definitely need to sign at least Bonne and Celina at the end of the season. I think Detmers interview yesterday before the game was correct, the train has now left the station. Bring on Saturday
WTF is going on at Ipswich????.....6-0 against Doncaster.....now a 2-1 defeat within days at Accrington???......let alone a 5-2 defeat at home to Bolton!!!.......I've been a fan of my beloved town for all of my 56yrs on this planet ......seen the highs nd lows...... but this is totally ridiculous!!!......we've the cream of players from division 1.....pundits expected promotion back to championship.....and so do I.......sorry but 25% into this season.....look where we are!!!.....COOK is over his head.!!.....he got to go.!!.....and go quick.!!!....with the right manager we can still get up that table...we got the fire power......even on the bench!!......sure this message will have a response........but only want town back where they belong
Edit: the dislike is either a Norwich fan or a idiot who still wants cook out Was so sad that I was working a late shift when I saw the result & the way we played. But I have the biggest grin on my face knowing that the team is forming together brilliantly
Yes it was a good win, but Donny have been poor all season, and we're not the first team to dick them for 6, Accrington Saturday will be looking to recover from getting dicked by 5, we get through that, and start October off well, and we'll see how far we can go, COYB

Cook has been the man since day 1, all coming together nicely🤝
One big result, and he's the man, get real
