From Pompey fan. I thought it was a good game tbf with 2 very good teams going for it and not wanting to lose the game. As for the 2 pens I think tbf 2nd one was probably a rather soft one given by the ref but the 1st was definitely a pen. Your keeper came out and he clearly took our player out and sent him flying. I have to say though you guys edged it and dominated a lot of the game so you deserved the win in the end. I really hope to see us both go up this season. 2 clubs as big as Pompey and Ipswich should be playing at a higher level than this poxy league. Well played guys and good luck for the rest of the season, except for when you come down in December to our place of course, ha ha.
Your view of the first pen depends much on the angle you saw it from. I was behind, in line and to me it was clear there was no intention to trip but the player himself tripped over Waltons legs, which were both on the ground. It was not a dive and l can understand why the ref gave it but it was not a pen. Te second one was a joke. If l was a Pompey fan l would be pleased with the progress from last year but there was a clear gap in quality between the two teams
Ipswich and Pompey are in League One for valid reasons. Promotion from League 1 is hard and it's a bit of a graveyard for bigger clubs. All the best for the season except for the game at Fratton Park.
Finally a good win and a good performance against tough opponent. You have to look in slow motion to see that ref was right to award them second penalty.
First is a penalty in my opinion. Wolfy was beaten by Scarlett and Walton went down and got his legs. Awful defending but we’ve got to take into consideration we’ve had 5 clean sheets in 10 games. We have a good defence but we are guilty of switching off. Especially after taking the lead. Second one wasn’t a pen in my opinion.

Ref = Bent Second goal - never a penalty You can see him, on the third goal, desperately looking around for a reason to disallow it. Didn't exactly see him putting the whistle to his lips when Edwards was pushed to the ground . There's playing the advantage and there is never having any intention of giving the foul. Check that mans hard drive. Check who pays his daughters rent at University. Check everything about him and his immediate family for the location of the bribe he CLEARLY took, to grant Portsmouth the win in this game
Second penalty is a clear pen he swings his leg at Curtis and completely misses the ball and takes the man. 1st pen is reasonably lucky because Scarlett took a poor touch and chose to go over the keeper but the keeper didn't do himself any favors diving in like that when the ball was already around him. Its a 50/50 meanwhile your 3rd goal was unquestionably lucky. Your goals all came from terrible defending from portsmouth and u controlled most of the game because our central midfield was poor so u deserved the win in the end but u weren't amazing portsmouth just played worse than we have all season.
