  • Spice up your dinner routine with Bruce "The Alligator Man" Mitchell's Cajun Dirty Rice! This flavorful dish is a must-try for anyone craving a taste of Louisiana.
    Cajun Dirty Rice recipe: blackstoneproducts.com/blogs/...
    Ingredients
    1 lb 80/20 ground beef
    Cooked rice (4-5 servings)
    1 lb Andouille Sausage
    1 red bell pepper, diced
    1/2 cup mushrooms, sliced
    1/2 cup celery, diced
    Blackstone Bayou Bend Seasoning
    Blackstone SPG Seasoning
    All-purpose flour
    Directions
    1. Preheat your Blackstone griddle to medium-high heat.
    2. Place the ground beef on the griddle. Break up the beef into small pieces and season with Bayou Bend seasoning. Cook until browned and done.
    3. Add a little olive oil to the griddle, then toss in diced onions, red bell peppers, and celery. Lightly coat with oil, season with SPG seasoning, and cook until onions and peppers are caramelized and softened. If desired, you can speed up this process by adding a splash of water to steam the vegetables.
    4. Slice the andouille sausage and cook alongside the vegetables until heated through and slightly textured.
    5. Sprinkle a light amount of all-purpose flour over the ingredients and allow it to lightly brown and cook down. Mix well when you see the flour starting to brown. You can also spray a little water onto the griddle to release any seasonings that may have stuck, then quickly mix them back in.
    6. Add the cooked rice to the griddle. Toss everything together thoroughly and then plate to serve.

I love rice. My town use to produce nearly one half of the total rice crop in the United States and was the largest rice exporting port in the world in the early 1800’s. Georgetown South Carolina 💪

I make it very similar to yours but use sausage most of the time but will try the Hamburger. I make Zatarain’s sometimes and my Nephew gets sick every time he eats it. Only bothers him and may be that eats too much at one time as it doesn’t bother nobody else in the family. Something in it doesn’t agree with him. Could be the spices but he loves it and I think he just over eats it and then the rice swells and he can’t hold it. Been like that since he was little as my wife and myself have had him since he was three years old. Both his parents passed away and we think of him as our second Son!

This is the Cajun version of Asian fried rice.
The Dirty Rice I have had in the past had chicken livers mixed in instead of ground meat.
But I like this version. As I think it will be a cleaner taste. Don't get me wrong I like chicken livers, but they are best when dredged in flour and deep fried.
