    27:50 that's roughly what we do in our datacenter. Since we run a public OpenStack cloud our SDN does all the firewalling in the overlay itself. So the HVs just are connected to two leaf and recieve/adverrise routes via BGP. For some customers that need physical hardware we deploy multi homed BGP EVPN VXLAN.

    Surprised you need to bring down your VMs to update TrueNAS. No secondary NAS or local storage to vMotion your VMs to during the upgrade? What about host upgrades? Are you able to vMotion your VMs to another host? When you put a host into maintenance mode, do your VMs move to another machine automatically? DRS? Good discussion, guys. Thanks!

      It's admittedly a shortcoming in my infrastructure design. I have plans to utilize the free storage bays in my ESXi nodes for temporary storage using vSAN, just haven't prioritized it yet.
