- In the past, to #automate #workflows for things like pushing UA-cam notifications to Discord, I used 3rd party services but was tired of paying for Zaiper or having IFTTT break every few weeks, so I set out to find a self-hosted solution that worked for me. And friends, I found it in #Activepieces!
In this video, I'm going to show you how to setup and run Activepieces in your homelab, and setup a simple automation to send new UA-cam videos to a Discord channel!

Cool! Is it possible to update the Active Pieces software on your server later, when devs made updates for AC?
Love it but how about security? Does it mean that the accounts authentication tokens stay within your docker installation or are they sent anywhere outside?
What cloud server would you recommend we self host on if we don’t have a physical server at home?
Any trusted VPS service would work fine. I'm not affiliated with them, but Linode and Digital Ocean are good options.
I dont have Linux, im on Windows. what would you recommend? Is it possible to run on Windows?

Don't try windows 11. Tried for 5 hours and I cannot get nGrok to work at all. Many commands in this video will simply not apply to windows 11.
I tried your video and I try to make myself an account and it tells me my password is wrong. Probably because the sh command doesnt run in windows and i had to manually edit the env file
That’s not a surprise. Running containers on Windows is a recipe for disappointment.
