- Unbelievable! Person almost hit by Amtrak! Idiot walks under crossing gate and in the path of a fast Amtrak train with its horns blaring! He then touches the locomotive as it is crossing the road! Don't miss the close up still shots after the video. Filmed in Plant City, Florida on February 11, 2019. I saw this guy walk across the railroad diamond by the observation platform yelling some rap lines. Then he climbed onto the platform and walked toward the crossing. He waited for the train to get close and then he went under the crossing arm, across the track and then tried to touch the fast locomotive! People like him are the reason some railroaders don't like railfans although this guy was clearly not a railfan. I have more videos from central Florida to post in the near future. great catch jawtooth. After re-watching the video, There were 2 idiots in the video as at the 0:53 mark the car that went around the gates.
That is the first time that I noticed that. I watch all my videos but I never noticed that car in the distance go around the gates until you commented on it. You have great eyes!
I didn't think so because the gate already up. BTW that guy who walked and almost got hit by Amtrak, Sound likely he want to get killed.

Jeffrey G People don’t need to be reminded... It’s a train DUH... You don’t need to be that high to be that stupid. Headphones or no headphones, train horns & EMS sirens overpowers those sounds going through your ears.

Great video Brian, makes me wonder if this fool is originally from India, those fools stand on the tracks as trains bear down on them. They think it chases away evil spirits or something. This also happens every day herein the Netherlands. Most don't even make it across the street. because our trains have a speed of 140KM / h Waiting is often really worthwhile when you consider how many deaths there are per year

Plant City sure has its share of idiots. I was there on Saturday to see you and Millenniumforce. After seeing the two of you, as I walked back to my car, a panhandler came up to me and harassed me. I ran across a busy street to get away from the guy since I was afraid he might mug me. The guy in the video is not the panhandler, though.
I had a couple pan handlers approach me in Plant City when I was filming Amtrak and I had another one try to sell me a cake in the parking lot of Walmart. Back in June in Lake City was the worst though. I was eating outside at Critters restaurant at a table by the tracks and a guy asked me for money. I gave him some change and then he sat down at my table and asked for some food off my plate. I had to ask him to leave. It seems like they are getting worse. Anyway, it was nice to meet you !

People don't pay attention at railroad crossings these days since they are impatient or distracted by looking at their phones. They should get what they deserve one day like a cop sees them doing that and they get stopped by them. I hope instant karma gets them!
