- The Big Wave tour resumed after 2 years at Nazaré to pristine conditions as the TUDOR Nazaré Big Wave Challenge started to roll. Watch as Big Wave heavies displayed critical teamwork to tow into massive Nazaré
Nazaré, Portugal is home to the biggest waves on Earth. In the TUDOR Nazaré Big Wave Challenge, two-person teams made up of men and women take turns surfing and driving the jetski as they compete in potentially record-setting surf.
The WSL Big Wave season is the time of year when humans push the boundaries of what’s possible on a surfboard. In the sport’s premier paddle-only event at Jaws and tow surfing challenge at Nazaré, these men and women drop in and charge the impossible for the ride of a lifetime.

When its firing here its hands down the biggest waves in the world. When the waves break at their apex the fury and curl are ferocious to say the least..

I’m ticked - I was there on Saturday and it was completely flat. Unfortunately, I had to fly back to States on that Monday.
Waves were much bigger today.
I want to learn how to surf ao o can ride waves like this.
I would push the boundaries further than it jas ever been simply because i have been paralyzed from my waist down and from my head to my toes.
I have always overcome anything even when i was told i wouldn't ever be able to.
My only setback is having the funds to make it happen.
I would make Dean potter look like a conservative couch potato because i couldn't settle on just one sport.
Proximity wingsuit flying, free-slol climbing, or anything high speed.
I don't have a death wish. Its living on the edge that makes me feel alive.
Its not for fame or notoriety im looking for but the rush it brings is what im chasing.
