@@Piairom thank you so much for the sweet words ❤ We can't wait to be back. We really fell in love with your beautiful country 🇵🇹 Portugal is pure magic ✨
I fell in love with Nazare when i went there. I was supposed to stay 5 days but i ended up staying there for almost 2 months and I cant wait to go back. Stunning place!
What a lovely video, I really like the easy relaxed way of talking to the camera. It was my first visit to Portugal recently and it seemed like a very special place.
I'm headed to Nazare for New Years!!! Our first time visiting, so, this video was super helpful and super cool! Thank you for your talents and advice!! Yes, definitely learn to surf! Will change your life.
Hi! You're so welcome! Happy to hear you find the videos useful :) We still have a few more videos to share and some with pretty much all the info you need to plan your Portugal trip. Stay tuned in the next 2 weeks! Thanks for being here. If you have questions, let us know :)
Hi❤. Can you share where you stayed? I think on another video you mentioned a great deal you had here near the beach… definitely including Nazare in our fall trip!!

at 7:17 what did you say to the lady who sold you treats as you were leaving Nazare "ciao... senia ?" From her expression and throwing you a kiss, it seems it was an endearing way of saying good-bye. We are leaving for Portugal in one week and have enjoyed travelling with you two.
Ok, we can almost guarantee a big smile and hopefully kisses and hugs when you say goodbye like this! We heard it for the first time at a pharmacy, when a lady said goodbye to us like that and we loved it ❤️ The word is: tchauzinho - it literally means 'little bye' and it is certified the cutest way to say goodbye to someone! Have so much fun in Portugal!! And thanks so much for watching our videos! Happy Valentine's Day 🥰
@@waysoftheworld_ Thanks! I have been privileged to travel the world and with a few such similar wordings have been able to engage warmly with locals. In addition to this tchauzinho as a pleasant good-bye, I now have an introduction that doesn't assume that everyone should understand my English and in fact, begs forgiveness for not speaking the local language."Voce fala ingles porque eu falo portugues como uma crianca" translates to asking "Do you speak English since I speak Portuguese like a child." See you on the road. or as they say, tchauzinho!
Hi… we are planning a trip to nazare in 3 weeks. How can we get to that beautiful lunch spot with the view of the surfers. It looked like a dirt road up in the hill. Tks
It's actually not hard to get to ;) You just have to go up to where the 'surf museum' is. You'll see a bunch of little food stalls (like the spot where we bought the sandwiches - which were the best sandwiches ever!!!!) and just have to walk pass those stalls towards the museum. There's like a cliff on the left side, and you'll see the beach from up there. This will make sense once you're there lol - have fun in Nazare!!! Hope you can see some massive waves 🌊🏄🏻♂️
Maybe a stupid question sorry, can we enjoy the Nazare waves without surf ? I enjoy waves a lot ( i mean i love to "swim" in waves without anything). How dangerous is it to do that in nazare? ( on the beach sure, not where the waves are around 10 - 20 meters, i would die ). Sorry for my english and thanks a lot for your video :)
Howdy - there are two beaches in Nazare, one with the crazy waves where you would totally die if you go swimming during high waves 😂 and one where it's pretty chill (north of the cliff is the beach with the famous surfing waves). The beach closer to town is pretty relaxed and you can swim in the waves if you're a decent swimmer. Also, the wave strength varies depending on time of year. The monster waves are seasonal - I think December - April. And you're English is great 🙌
Thank you! That's the impossible question... 😂 We'll say Nazare, Tavira and the little towns in the Alentejo... Obviously Lisbon & Porto are top of that list too! It's impossible to pick just one hahaha
Hi :) So if you walk up the main road that takes you to the museum, you will pass a few food trucks and stuff... then parallel to the main road, there's a dirt road. We walked down that dirt road for a few minutes and found a clear spot and had the best lunch views ever! This will make more sense once you are there lol - it's not difficult ;)
@@waysoftheworld_ thank you for your response! I asked this question while I was watching your video and later in the video, you did say it was October. Once again, thank you!
You can swim at your own risk. M H O...Unless you are a real good swimer, don't try. Very dangerous, due to the under corrents and swirlpools. I know the beaches. It was my vacations place for many years. Be safe.
hahaha yes!!! Isn't that crazy? We did learn that in the surf museum inside the fort... I really can't imagine seeing those massive waves from there. You have to feel like the tiniest human haha - ps: thanks for sharing because we did not explain it in the video 😂 Have a great week ahead guys :)

Do they allow you to swim there?
I think so, but no one was in the water because it was so cold hahaha usually in the Summer when the water is warmer, the ocean is a lot calmer too...

You can easily swim at the south part of the beach which has no big waves, no whirlpool or current and it's pretty extended

Visiting Nazaré and not trying the best seafood in the world is like going to Rome and not seeing the Pope.
We've been to Rome twice and never saw the Pope. There's no such thing as a 'must see' or 'must do,' just do what makes you happy.
Ooh oo- I went to Rome and I didn’t see the pope! I kind of regret that!!!!
