  • Sadie is so excited to welcome singer-songwriter and children's book author Ellie Holcomb. Ellie shares about her humble beginnings and the big lesson she learned through it all: to view every interaction as an opportunity to bless someone. Ellie & Sadie remind us that every day is a gift and that we don't take one step alone as believers, so we need to resist feeling frazzled as much as we can - the pressure is off. God has us! Plus, what does joy sound like? Sadie challenges us to see that joy isn't necessarily about what's to come, but what's already been done for us, on our behalf. Joy is for you, right where you are. And Ellie and Sadie reveal some of their family Christmas traditions. Ellie's book "Sounding Joy" is available everywhere.

Whoa. This. Is. Good! I needed this encouragement today. Before listening to this podcast, I was filled with anxiety about my future and questioned the will of God for my life. My boyfriend of two years left me not even a week ago, and it already feels like my entire life has been upended. I've been finding it so difficult to let go of this person I love, and I felt like I needed to figure out God's will all on my own. The pressure I put on myself to choose wisely regarding my career, college, and even how I am handling the breakup has resulted in a lot of anxiety and confusion. But the reminder that God's will for me in its simplest form
    is to....
    1. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.
    2. Love your neighbor as yourself.
^is exactly what i needed to hear. These are my next steps. I am coming to understand that its okay to not have my whole future planned out. By living out these 2 commandments, it is impossible to make a wrong move, and God is going to lead me in His timing to the place that I am intended to be. It gives me a lot of confidence in what's to come, so thank you!💓

I am 58 and still figuring out this life. 😁 I really needed to hear the section about being in God’s will for your life. I need to relax and not be so uptight about it. Thanks! New perspective needed. 😊

Sadie, hold fast in the strength of the Lord. Our Savior was mocked, scored, lied on; all Believers will be persecuted as we are in the last days leading to Yeshua Jesus' Return. Keep speaking the Word of the Lord who are either not strong in the Lord or don't know Him. Count it all joy cause the stirring in the mullberry trees is only getting stronger, so keep looking up!

Asking y'all to please for my hubby and I. I need surgery to fix the fistula apparently it might be just one. I have to have a colonoscopy before surgery. The surgery will be done a couple days after the colonoscopy. I do not health insurance so all these bills will have to be covered by my hubby and I.

I do not have a place I belong in this physical realm. Yes I belong to Jesus, but here in America I live in a halfway house for people rejected by society. I was an addict and my family kicked me out. I am in recovery but I don't belong anywhere except this halfway house. Sorry folks but no happy ending here...

I don't have a place I belong. I have 8 siblings who all think I'm crazy because I believe in God. We haven't spoken since 2014. I just couldn't any more. I have two daughters, the eldest stopped talking to me in 2010. Her husband, who is an attorney is also a narcissist and an aetheist thinks I am beneath him, so he put a stop to our relationship. My youngest daughter stopped all contact with me in 2021, and I still don't know why. They have both had a child since then and I hav6e never seen them. My parents passed away in 2013 and 2014 respectively, so I have no one. My ex husband was cheating on me online, and I accidently caught him the day after Christmas of 2005. Needless to say, we divorced. I have no friends because my family turned them all against me claiming I was crazy. I left my hometown, and no one knows where I am, and that's the way it is now because I couldn't live like that anymore. I just don't belong here on earth. I probably made some errors in my writing, because I am primarily French Canadian. Sorry in advance. Much love. Cammi

    Hey Sadie:
    STOP DEFYING GOD!
1 Timothy 2:12 - But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
1 Corinthians 14:34 - Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.
1 Corinthians 14:35 - And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.
1 Timothy 2:11 - Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.

I don’t really believe anymore, neither was I born into a Christian family or have a lot of faith due to a lot of stuff that happened growing up but I do like listening to the Unashamed podcast and this one, it’s nice to listen to younger people speak passionately about their beliefs, I’m 27 so it’s kind of a little bit more relatable when young people talk about this stuff.
In my country, religion/faith is private, the way southern/country folks of America are so passionate and tell their stories about how god is in their life is very inspiring.
I was in Tennessee in January , took a trip to Alabama with friends and their family. I wanted to sit in on a sermon in church on a Sunday to see what it was like but never got the chance, maybe when I come back I will get the opportunity.
