By all means, go! Our family went on pilgrimage there last year (ages 8-80). Stay at the Quixote Hotel. It is an inexpensive, 4-star hotel just a couple of blocks south of the shrine. Well-appointed, excellent restaurant, many English-speaking staff, can exchange your money at the front desk, there is a shrine-viewing lobby/penthouse. It is a safe neighborhood. Fly in, take a taxi to the hotel. You can walk everywhere else for the pilgrimage. I want to return without the children for a retreat with more solitude and time for reflection. I never felt the Tilma was looking at us (bring binoculars?), but that was not a grace the Lord wished to give at that time ( He gave other graces).

You are right. It is so foolish and stupid to deny God and walk the wide road. When I was younger I thought (probably because of tv) that we start walking the wide or narrow road after we die. Another thing that was really a wakeup call for me was reading about when Mary showed the 3 kids at Fatima what hell was like. PURE 100% agony. I thought about that a lot. We should be praying the prayer to our Lady of Guadalupe after every Mass as our Catholic witness to the dignity and sanctity of all human life. I suggested it to our priests but never heard back . We have the opportunity more and more these days to defend life because most parishes have online masses now . All Catholics have a moral obligation to protect the child in the womb . Good, I just learned I can call my kids stupid out of love and not have to run to confession. So many of my family are still democratic. I am so amazed how my own mother, who lead me to my Catholic faith, having so many books of the saints in our home, like Saint Faustina, Saint Margaret Mary, and so many prayer cards and holy pictures, to this day votes democrat and recently told me she wants Trump to lose. Older Catholics like my parents are set strong in their party, Democrat. They were Democrats before 1973 when this issue wasn't a divide. I still wish they would switch to pro-life but want to be loyal to liberal party even though we know that party has evolved into something sinister.

I had this tremendous grace. An experience like no other, you feel She is looking at you directly.
By all means, go! Our family went on pilgrimage there last year (ages 8-80). Stay at the Quixote Hotel. It is an inexpensive, 4-star hotel just a couple of blocks south of the shrine. Well-appointed, excellent restaurant, many English-speaking staff, can exchange your money at the front desk, there is a shrine-viewing lobby/penthouse. It is a safe neighborhood. Fly in, take a taxi to the hotel. You can walk everywhere else for the pilgrimage.
I want to return without the children for a retreat with more solitude and time for reflection. I never felt the Tilma was looking at us (bring binoculars?), but that was not a grace the Lord wished to give at that time ( He gave other graces).

You are right. It is so foolish and stupid to deny God and walk the wide road. When I was younger I thought (probably because of tv) that we start walking the wide or narrow road after we die. I've since realized that we are walking that road right now. It kind of scared me (putting it mildly). Another thing that was really a wakeup call for me was reading about when Mary showed the 3 kids at Fatima what hell was like. PURE 100% agony. I thought about that a lot. Every one on this earth has exposure to God, whether he wants to believe it or not. Imagine how miserable hell is when a judged soul knows God is eternally absent because of his actions and choice. We have the opportunity more and more these days to defend life because most parishes have online masses now . All Catholics have a moral obligation to protect the child in the womb . Good, I just learned I can call my kids stupid out of love and not have to run to confession.
So many of my family are still democratic. I am so amazed how my own mother, who lead me to my Catholic faith, having so many books of the saints in our home, like Saint Faustina, Saint Margaret Mary, and so many prayer cards and holy pictures, to this day votes democrat and recently told me she wants Trump to lose.
I am baffled. They still seem to believe a woman has that right. I must keep after them!

Canon Laws 1398, 1364 and 751 clearly says that any one commits Abortion is automatically excommunicated. That is for the person who goes into abortion.

Who ever is the member of that party is consequently gets automatic Excommunication.
